Happy BLACK History Month. waking up Black every single day is so fun, we really do have a language no one understands (figuratively but also literally cause y’all be fighting for your lives using AAVE 😭). it’s an indescribable feeling, really. despite the hardships and the systems that try to bring us down, i would choose to be Black in every single lifetime. we are the blueprint. we are dynamic. we are cultural leaders. like, a whole music genre literally is reheating our nachos (k-pop stans, you’re welcome 😘). we are THEE activists. we are beauty personified. folks pay thousands for traits we are born into, passed down for generations. we are family. our diaspora is teeea. so boom, all the caucasians to the back IMMEDIATELY (except @oliviasloth ofc 🫱🏾‍🫲🏻). ooooouuu i could go on and on, we’re really just those girls! but i’ll leave you with some words from solange:

2025 was a year of transition, a year where things broke so they could heal and be made stronger. a year of gigs, new jobs, heists (iykyk), hikes, life being brought into the world, life being brought out of the world, and overall good, really needed, change 🤍 I hope 2026 is filled with the fruits of everything we've worked so hard for in 2025. 2026 i welcome you with open arms ✨
