Meet Jen! Jen is a Salvadoran fiction writer and born-again poet based in Park Slope with hometown roots in Maryland. She's currently working on a novel, flirting with an idea for a memoir, and dumping half-finished poems into her notes app. She also served as a guest editor for The Baltimore Review and worked briefly as a bookseller in Brooklyn.

Her favorite books are "Oryx & Crake," by Margaret Atwood & "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley, and her favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Jane Austen, and Khaled Hosseini.

A fun fact about Jen is that she thinks documentaries are severely underrated + they deserve watch parties just as much as, say, "The Bachelor." Cults, marine life, murder mysteries, religious cover-ups, quantum physics in space—doesn't matter! Watch more documentaries (especially with other people & wine!)

I’ve worked all over since I was 16 years old. I worked two jobs while also going to undergrad and grad school full time. Dunkin Donuts, local coffee shops, call centers, Target, Central Park, The High Line, you name it. The best part of all these taxing jobs has always been the people and I’m the luckiest little queer to have known you all. I’ve always wanted to work in a bookstore and now I do. It has its ups and downs and we’ve been through a lot the past couple months, but my little Greenlight family feels so special and close to my heart. This is me and just a few of the lovely booksellers I now call my friends. 💚

The Archives Episode 9

🇺🇸:
Kent Raiden fun fact: In 3rd grade I drew a girl in front of a live audience for my school talent show.

My 3rd grade self would be proud to see I am still creating art and doing it at the highest level.

🇧🇷:

Whatever happens to them, happens.

For the first drop I walked and ran more than seven miles.

If you find one, congrats!
