Snapshots of our latest exhibition ‘Held in Common’ which opened last night. Delighted by the special pieces that the artists and makers have sent for this show, it is a beautiful exhibition.
It runs all the way through September and it’s a great time to visit us to see Tinsmiths in full sail full of interesting and inspiring pieces.
The exhibition features work by; @jen.whiskerd @emmacarlow @de_la_torre_studios @desdemonab @edhill01 @e.f.davies.clay @patternmakers @pargetterbill @jamesburnettstuartpottery - much of the work is now on the website but DM if you like the details of a particular piece.
Special thanks to @theowltheharethehuman for patiently working through lists & getting so much organised in such a short time. Also, @jen.whiskerd & @apple_joinery for lending a hand to get everything out & arranged.

A weekend of preparation for our next Exhibition; Held in Common.
The work has been coming in over the past couple of weeks & it’s blisteringly good! We have wonders from @emmacarlow @patternmakers @pargetterbill @de_la_torre_studios @desdemonab @jamesburnettstuartpottery @jen.whiskerd @edhill01
With common references in medieval and pre-industrial production. Some of the work inspired by the Herefordshire School of Romanesque sculpture.
If you would like an invitation to the private view then visit the link in our bio.
Huge thanks to @tilley_printing @ledbury_letterpress & @jen.whiskerd for printing the beautiful invites.

A few autumnal favourites from the Tinsmiths Tilley Printing poster collection. These posters are all printed in our hometown of Ledbury @tilley_printing - it’s a magic place and spending time at the printworks with brilliant creative people is one of my great pleasures.

@herefordshireartweek is the perfect excuse to discover something (or someone) new. 🎨

From open studios to pop-up exhibitions, it’s a chance to meet the artists, hear their stories, and see the landscape reflected in their work.

During Herefordshire Art Week, we invite you to get curious. Step into a gallery, peek inside a studio, or simply take a closer look at the art around you. You might just find your next favourite artist!

At White House Cottages, we’re proud to have pieces by talented local artists hanging in our cottages, and we're always looking for more! If you're interested in exhibiting your work on our walls then we want to hear from you.

In 2024 we celebrated 20 years of Tinsmiths with gusto! ‘Papercut Pigeons & Brass Boots’ exhibition gave me the opportunity to show all my favourite things! Thank you to everyone who visited and to everyone one involved who made it the whole experience a real pleasure, to the artists and makers, and to the whole Tinsmiths team who all worked so hard getting everything together for the show.
We have exciting plans for 2025 - so off we go!
