🌿 A Saturday morning full of energy and community!

Yesterday, Jen Aks led From Mindset to Bodyset at our White Plains office, and the room was full of energy. Entrepreneurs, life coaches, and reiki practitioners came together to explore how the body’s intelligence can support clearer decisions in business, and many left with a practice they can use right away.

At EdCon 2026, @jen_aks will lead “From Mindset to Bodyset: A Neuroscience-Based Approach to Mental Wellness and Lasting Resilience.”

We often talk about finding the right mindset, but this session invites us to consider another powerful resource: Bodyset™.

Drawing on 30 years of body-based practice and neuroscience, Jen will introduce Body Intelligence (BQ) and explore the emotional, kinesthetic, intuitive, and somatic forms of intelligence we carry within our bodies.

Attendees will also experience The Power of Gesture®, a neuroscience-based practice built around the brain-hand connection and designed to support emotional regulation, clarity, and resilience.

Yesterday’s lunch left me full in more ways than one. 💕

I had the privilege of attending the Capital District Women’s Employment & Resource Center Luncheon and I walked out with a new book, a whole lot to think about, and my heart genuinely full.

@jen_aks took the stage with “Lead by Your Light: Embody. Empower. Elevate.” and the energy in that room was something else. I grabbed a copy of her book “Your Body Is Speaking” on the way out and I am already looking forward to diving in.

A huge thank you to @darylbart_ for introducing me to this incredible nonprofit and making sure I had a seat at the table.

If you have not heard of @cdwerc look them up. The work they do for women in the Capital District is so important and so important and needed. ✨

The conversation didn't end on September 24.

I'm still thinking about so much of what Suzy Welch shared with us at UConn, and apparently I'm still carrying the book around too.

Because questions about who we are, what we value, and what we want our lives and work to mean aren't questions you answer in one evening.

They deserve a little more time.

On October 14, we're continuing the conversation at WNG with Dr. Kelly Kennedy, who moderated our evening with Suzy so beautifully.

We'll go deeper into the ideas behind Becoming You: understanding what truly matters to us, recognizing where our values may be competing, and thinking more intentionally about the choices we make in our careers and our lives.

Because sometimes the next step isn't about doing more.
It's about getting clearer on who you are now, what matters most, and what you want to move toward.
