women in wars

Absence of her son.
Absence of her husband.
Absence of her home.

She buries the consequences.
She must be stronger than all of them —
because she survives what they never feel.

Too close to be innocent
It’s not about touching.
It’s about standing too close for too long.
Two bodies pretending control,
while desire quietly takes over.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see the opening of LIC-A’s, “Who’s Afraid of Red, Yellow, and Blue” — you all made my first juried show so much fun, and I will never forget the love and support! Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to put it together! Thanks to all the artists whose beautiful work made the space so exciting! A wonderful and vibrant event all around 🎨
