🏴‍☠️ Jack and his merry band of pirates are setting sail for Vancouver!

After a long stint entertaining the troops at MacLeod Ale, Jack is heading north to his permanent home @leeandsonsbagpipes

But first, a quick stop at the post office to weigh in before his voyage and deal with shipping nonsense.

Fair winds and following seas, Jack! May the pipes be loud, the ale plentiful, and the company just disreputable enough. 🍻🏴‍☠️

I painted this portrait of Jack Lee years ago.

Couldn’t help adding the hook hand & the pirate eye patch on the band members.

The blood-red under painting, matches the pirate theme. It’s funny how no one really sees the under painting, but it’s a glow that you can’t suppress.

It was a great time at @lawlessbeer in NoHo Monday night for our LABW panel discussion on how several LA breweries survived the pandemic (or didn’t). I think everyone learned a lot — including the panelists and myself. And Jennifer learned she can’t park in neighbor’s driveways — but got off with a warning! 😉 Many thanks to the LA Brewers Guild for allowing me to put this together. Special shoutout to @supermanjace for the photos and video. @labrewersguild @labrewers @macleodale @paperbackbrewing @luckylukebrewing @strandbrewingco @beerpaperla

The Vegan Pepperoni Pizza 🍕 is a favorite at @macleodale and they source the pepperoni from @maciels.plant.butcher, which we had on last week’s show. More about this and all the English Ales with @jenfeb right now on @angelsradioam830 🍺!

It's New Year's Eve, you ain't got no job and you ain't got shit to do. Time to crack open a cold one.
.
We're starting with The Luckypenny extra special bitter from @macleodale, one of six breweries we featured on our YouTube channel this year before the pandemic derailed our loaded schedule.
.
We'll take this time to thank the brewers that welcomed us with open arms and cold beers these past two years. We hope to be back out there talking to owners, brewers and tasting room patrons as soon as possible in 2021. Cheers, master drinkers. 🍻
