Hewwo Amazing Fwendz! Awesome Autumn's Art Adventures happened on Sunday for my first time! Dis year, it was the 47th annual Cabbagetown Festival. For MommaLowian and Nauntie A, Cabbagetown always means going to Riverdale Farm for a visit! There is a petting zoo there and you can see horsies. They also has many beautiful nature trails to adventure through and I am so glad we did! MommaLowian taught me about Dagobah and why it matters to us! Finally we were off to see dis ting called Art. There were SO many amazing artists there and so many beautiful pieces. MommaLowian and I walked around looking at booths for a bit, we found one we were pretty sure we loved, but wanted to be sure, so MommaLowian took me to visit da small Chapel across da street at Riverdale Farm and there was a beautiful installation happening. MommaLowian will post on dis separately. After dis, we enjoyed some music and we actually walked away twice to leave, but decided dat we needed to go back to da one booth. We got to meet @jenfeltart and she was so kind and welcoming! We whittled it down to 2 prints, and we could not decided. I told MommaLowian she should get both and she listened to me 😁😁 Fwendz, dis Art is made from Merino wool! She pulls it apart to make beauty! There is no camera that can do her work adequate justice, but it is still lovely to view. In person in when you can see the depth and dimensions of the wool. We is so eggcited we found another artist we wuv! I had da bestest first adventure and I can't wait for more! There’s a piece of art out there that already has your name on it. You just haven’t found it yet. Maybe it’s a painting of a Canadian shoreline that looks exactly like the one you grew up beside. Maybe it’s a photograph of a winter sky so quiet it stops you mid-scroll. Maybe it’s something sculpted from metal or felt or driftwood that you didn’t know existed until the moment you couldn’t imagine your home without it. This July, 100 juried Canadian artists are gathering at Head Lake Park in Haliburton. And somewhere in that collection, something is waiting for you. Come for the art. Stay for the feeling it gives you when you find it. July 24–26, 2026 | Head Lake Park, Haliburton Highlands Fri 12–5 | Sat 10–5 | Sun 10–4 | $5 weekend pass (under 15 free) 🔗 Link in bio for full details.
