I didn’t walk into this community expecting to find a family. I came to move my body. What I found was a room full of people who cheer louder for your hardest rep than for your easiest one, who notice when you show up on a rough day, and who remind you what you’re capable of before you believe it yourself.

That’s the thing about a real community: it doesn’t just push you to be your best self, it makes you want to be. It becomes the place you don’t want to pull away from, because it’s where you feel most like you.

And here’s what I’ve learned in the past year: it’s never too late to find out what you’re made of. You are stronger than you think, braver than you feel, and capable of amazing yourself. You just need the right people in your corner (and sometimes the courage to walk through the door, or in this case the garage door 😉 @team_fortitude_yeg )

BURPEES WON?! 😳😂
We asked the @team_fortitude_yeg athletes one simple question: Burpees or Wall Balls?
The answer was loud and clear… BURPEES.
Apparently throwing yourself on the floor repeatedly is preferable to squatting and catching a ball 100 times. 🤷‍♀️😂
The people have spoken.
Burpees > Wall Balls
Do you agree?! 👇

What a day. 🔥

Huge shoutout to @team_fortitude_yeg for hosting an incredible day! So many incredible athletes from Team Fortitude and the @hyroxedmonton community who showed up and brought the energy, grit, and support!! There was so much to celebrate today, from first-time Solo athletes to massive PR’s!

It was HOT, it was tough, and you all absolutely crushed it. 💪 So proud to be part of a community that pushes each other to be better every single day.

Already counting down to the next one. 🖤

The last couple years of teaching at YEG has been so incredibly special and stepping away will not be easy but I am so grateful for every moment on & off the podium, @chelseymbiggs and my ‘23 training group, and all my amazing riders in which none of it would be possible.
