Jenna Campbell is graduating this Spring with her degree in Visual Communications from the school of Architecture and Design. We sat down with her to discuss her time at KU and what she has her sights on in the future. “I knew I wanted to explore more in Graphic Design”, with KU being so close to her home it felt like the right pick. Outside of her scholarly pursuits, Jenna has served as a Graphic Design Intern for Academic Success. Her work has included creating event graphics for the UCC and branding for units like Mentored Scholars program and much more. This summer Jenna is interning at American Century Investments in Kansas City. She looks forward to working on bigger projects as a team. Looking further down the road she would like to work in branding, publication layout and brand identity. As her career grows, she hopes to always maintain a sense of curiosity and creativity and have fun with what she’s creating. Her career goal is to lead as an Art Director on big conceptual ideas where she can lead a group of people and make sure all their voices are heard. She attributes much of her self-discovery to the friends she has made. “You have to do so much on your own”, she says that has helped her find trust in herself. “My sense of self is largely related to the people I met at KU - We champion each other’s wins” We wish you all the success on your next adventures!
