My youngest great nephew @jennaajones17's baby, turned 5 today.

The last time I was in Ohio I left a work dinner to go visit Jen and her babies, they stayed up late to see me and Shiloh asked his momma if when I got there he could give me a hug. He stood on the ottoman staring at me, until I asked him if I could hig him and then he leaped into my arms and gave me the biggest strongest hug a toddler could give.

He is such a loving little boy, everytime I see him on a video call he hugs and kisses the phone. Its hard being a long distance aunt, especially when they are this young because when you blink they are five. Why do they grow up so fast!?!

One year in and I still think our wedding deserved a documentary.

Our wedding day was everything we could’ve hoped for, loud, emotional, beautiful, and filled with people who love us so deeply. I wish we could bottle up that feeling forever.

This past year brought a lot of change. moving away, starting over, building new routines, navigating hard moments, growing individually and together. and through all of it, I keep finding myself more grateful for our partnership.

Marriage has looked a lot less like perfection and a lot more like choosing each other daily, and honestly, I think that’s made me love you even more.

Happy one year to us. i’d do it all over again.

Life lately in Rhode Island 📍

Moved here and immediately stepped into our tourist era. First stop? Newport’s Cliff Walk and the famous 40 Steps. Stunning views, but ask me how my quads are doing.

2. Took a quick trip back home for a very important mission—wedding dress shopping! My besties + fam showed up and showed out, and ya girl found THE dress. Can’t wait to wear it (and eat in it, strategically).

3. Big 3-0 energy! DeVon planned the most perfect birthday date night, including a stop at @scentiqueri , where we made our own perfume + candle. Now I smell like wealthy it’s givinnnn richhhh babe

4. This cinnamon roll from @oakbakeshop deserved its own moment. Paired it with a strawberry matcha, and let’s just say… life-changing. 10/10, would risk it all again.

5.theres something about a local market that just gets me. I’ll always stop, browse, and somehow leave with a new piece of art.

6. Fitness, but make it fun (and slightly painful). When I’m not lifting, I’m at Pilates pretending to be a princess. First RI studio experience at @401move ? Loved it, core still recovering.

7. Stumbled into a bookstore that had wine, records, and a book club?! Say less. @symposiumbooks is a whole vibe, and yes, we joined the club.

8. Rhode Island, you’re like really pretty….Rocky Point State Park had us in awe—definitely bringing our people here when they visit so we can pretend we’re local tour guides.
