What a year it’s been 🤪

Solar Return 37. 💫

I turned 37 on 12/21, and it has taken time to process the magnitude of love, care, time, effort, and words I’ve been surrounded with the past few days.

If you know me, you know how I feel about my birthday; about birthdays in general. Every solar return is a gift we are blessed to receive, and should be celebrated in the ways most meaningful to us. As I sit here on Christmas morning in reflection, on what also would have been my dad’s 70th birthday, I’m reminded again of what a gift it is to be loved and appreciated in this life.

To everyone who has shown up for me, who has taken time from the chaos of their own lives to celebrate mine in some way, whether through a call, a text, a post, time together, a kind word, a listening ear, — I’m eternally grateful. Thank you for loving on me, even in ways I didn’t know I needed.

To the people in my life who are blessings, to those who continuously hold space for me, to those who were lessons, thank you for reminding me of gratitude everyday. For the highs, lows, grief, joy, smiles, tears, — for the reminder I’m blessed to feel all of it so deeply.

Life is short, and my only birthday wish this year is for you all to lean into the people you love, who love you. Tell them, show them, as often as you can. While they’re still here to hear and receive it.
