$Over the past week, I've spent my evenings painting a thunderstorm while listening to one unfold outside my window. What began as rolling clouds slowly became something else. Layer by layer, the storm found its shape. The lightning emerged. The sky fractured. The veins hidden within the clouds revealed themselves. This piece will be heading to Anchorage for event this August, carrying with it a little of every stormy night that helped shape it. Too all my bookgram people out there: "When the last thunder faded, the silence felt different. The clouds withdrew, carrying their secrets back into the dark. The wound in the heavens began to heal, leaving no trace that it had ever existed at all. But those who witnessed it knew better. They had seen the current beneath the world. For a single heartbeat, the storm had peeled back the skin of the sky and exposed the vein beneath it—a living network of light stretching through all things. Through root and river. Through mountain and forest. Through the clouds themselves. Nature does not speak often. But when it does, it speaks in veins of lightning." #storytellingart #ContemporaryArt #symbolicart #oilpainting #artcollector$
