Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Artists & Allies Gathering this past Saturday! 🎨✨

It was great to learn more about @caforthearts and Arts, Culture & Creativity Month, which takes place every April.

We also did some power mapping and started preparing for the advocacy work we’ll take on together as a SELA coalition during Arts, Culture & Creativity Month this April, across SELA cities and beyond. 💪🏽

Want to help advocate for arts and culture in SELA? Join us! Our next Artists & Allies Gathering will be in January. Stay tuned for details.

I don’t always give myself time to rest and reset. I’m always working or helping or planning. This weekend will probably be the last that I get free time to just be. I’m nervous for what’s to come next but I’m excited too. I’m grateful for the homies that I got to see this weekend even if we did do a little bit of work. Blessed to have these folks in my life.

✨2026 NLI Alum @danielegusquiza shared his experience attending this year’s NLI with @berksweekly , highlighting the Institute as more than a space for leadership development and professional learning, but also a meaningful opportunity for cultural and community exchange where Latinx/é backgrounds, experiences, and voices are centered and celebrated.

❤️Thank you, Daniel, for sharing your experience, and welcome to the Nalaquerx family.

✨For the last day of the 2026 NLI the fellows experienced a site visit and guided tour with San Anto Cultural Arts (SACA). Fellows had the opportunity to learn about the stories behind some of the most notable murals located on the West Side.

💚 Special thanks to Cuauhtli Reyna and the SACA team for sharing their space, knowledge, and ongoing commitment to preserving San Antonio’s mural history.
