I had the pleasure of getting Amber & Jeff legally hitched yesterday after their sweet friend led the ceremony. Oh and I also filmed the day on Super 8. Kinda chic to add legal ceremony duties to your photo or Super 8 coverage!

- ceremony banners and 170 place cards painted by the bride’s mother⁠
- a champagne tower for her parents’ 40th wedding anniversary⁠
- individually selected keepsakes sourced from fairs and markets paired with sweet treats⁠
- the bride in a corset and tailored trousers under an embroidered maxi chiffon shirt that doubled as a train, later swapped for a silk periwinkle wrap blouse inspired by kimonos⁠

@jennifersee.studios captured our wedding in 2022 and then my foray into motherhood in 2023 when Jordie was 4 months old. Thankful we were able to squeeze into her calendar this trip!!
Her photos remind me that no matter how hard some days are, there is ALWAYS lightness + joy to be found. ⛅️ (and what a gift it is to mother these two little lights)

Rain on your wedding day isn’t the disaster everyone makes it out to be!

Not having a plan for it? That’s where things get messy. 🌧️

A good rain plan considers so much more than where you’ll say your vows: guest movement, parking, vendor equipment, cocktail hour, photos, rentals, timing and WHEN the final call actually needs to be made.

And most importantly?

The couple should not be the one standing in their getting-ready suite refreshing the radar and deciding where 120 chairs need to go.

Have a Plan B you actually love.
Set a decision time.
Trust your vendors.

And hire a coordinator who can make the call, move the pieces and keep the day feeling completely effortless - rain or shine.

Save this one if you’re planning an outdoor or tented wedding.❤️

There is something profoundly beautiful about watching the people you love become the parents they were always meant to be. Holding this little one is a reminder that life moves in seasons, and while this chapter belongs to dear friends, I can’t help but look forward with hope to the day—hopefully soon—when I’ll be holding my own. 🤍

Jennifer welcomed baby Miller into their beautiful country life. As I drove in, towering trees lined the road and the scent of lilacs filled the air. Their charming log home stood among the forest and their fur babies happily followed Jenn’s lead, never far from her side.
