UPDATE: Draco got a short extension, but he is now past his second deadline and needs out NOW! He could be euthanized at any time! 🚨 URGENT — DRACO NEEDS A PLAN BY 7:30 AM 🚨 Draco needs an immediate rescue and experienced foster. The shelter environment is taking a toll on him, and he is becoming increasingly kennel stressed. He needs OUT and into a calm, structured environment where he can decompress. Draco is a strong, powerful boy, so he needs an experienced handler who is physically capable of managing him safely and confidently. He needs someone who understands that structure, training, consistency, and clear boundaries are just as important as love. This is not a dog who should be thrown into a busy household and expected to adjust overnight. Draco needs time to decompress and someone committed to setting him up for success. 🐾 Experienced, confident handler required 🐾 Must be able to safely handle a strong dog 🐾 Slow, proper decompression 🐾 Training, structure & consistent boundaries 🐾 NO small children 🐾 NO small animals Draco deserves the chance to show us who he can be outside of a stressful shelter kennel. But we are running out of time to give him that chance. ⏰ DEADLINE: 7:30 AM 📍 Polk County Animal Shelter 1215 Veal St., Cedartown, GA If you are qualified and able to help Draco, please reach out NOW to @savethispup and/or @hwilson0930 Share him everywhere — the right person may be one share away. #fosteringsaveslives #euthlisted #rescuedog #savethispup #rescuedogsofinstagram

UPDATE: Rex got a short extension until noon Tuesday. HOWEVER! It’s a holiday weekend. The shelter is closed Sat-Mon! GO MEET REX FRIDAY AND SAVE HIM!🚨🚨🚨 UPDATE: Rescue pending! 🚨 URGENT — REX HAS NO INTEREST & IS OUT OF TIME 🚨 Rex is slated to be euthanized at **7:30 AM tomorrow**, and right now, this sweet boy has no one coming for him.💔 Rex is a total sweetheart and is dog friendly — but like so many black shelter dogs, he’s being overlooked. He is heartworm positive, which is treatable and not contagious, but he needs help to get that chance. We desperately need: 🙏 **PLEDGES for Rex’s heartworm treatment** 🏡 **A FOSTER to give him somewhere safe to land** 🐾 **A RESCUE to pull him** Rex doesn’t know that a heartworm diagnosis or the color of his fur makes him harder to save. He just knows he wants love, companionship, and a chance to keep living. **If you can foster or help save Rex, PLEASE MESSAGE @savethispup or @hwilson0930 TONIGHT. Do not wait until morning.** 📍 Polk County Animal Control 1215 Veal St. Cedartown, GA 💰 **PLEASE PLEDGE in the comments and SHARE.** Even $5 or $10 adds up and could help a rescue say YES. #adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslives #euthlisted #savethispup #blackdog

UPDATE: ALL 4 ARE SAFE!! 🚨🚨4 PUPPIES URFENT FOR TODAY @ 4PM🚨🚨 Three little girls. One little boy. Four wagging tails. Four puppies who should be worrying about who gets the toy — NOT whether they’ll make it out of the shelter. 💔 🖤 PRINCESS 🖤 PRECIOUS 🖤 PAULA 🩶 BARKLEY These adorable puppies are just babies, and as you can see in the video, they’re happy, playful little pups who LOVE getting outside to romp, wrestle and play. But their deadline is already here. ⏰ URGENT EUTHANIZED AT 4 PM TODAY⏰ We need FOUR families or rescues to step up and give these pups the chance to grow up. Adopt. Foster. Rescue. Share. Every single one can make the difference between a puppy leaving through the front door or never getting that chance. Please SHARE Princess, Precious, Paula, and Barkley everywhere. 🖤🐶🖤 #puppy #puppiesofinstagram #adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslives euthlisted

🩵Meet Huxley🩵 This sweet little guy is a little scared of the world around him. Chances are, humans were not kind to him. Despite all of that, he is coming around and giving us a chance. He’s a beautiful cattle dog / shepherd mix maybe? He’s about 3 years old. He is absolutely sweet as can be and once he trusts is going to love his person SO much. He needs decompression time and someone who is going to have patience and move at his pace. He would probably benefit from another kind dog in the home who can boost his confidence and show him the ropes! (Slow intros please!) Huxley will be URGENT next week‼️ So he needs to find a foster or adopter ASAP‼️ Please go meet him! 📍1215 Veal St. Cedartown, GA #adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslives #savethispup #rescuedog #adoptable

We need your help!! Polk County Animal Control needs to raise funds for one of their most urgent needs: **heartworm tests for shelter dogs.** Polk County Animal Control is a small, underfunded municipal shelter that simply does not have the budget to test every dog for heartworm disease. In the South, where heartworm is extremely common, knowing a dog’s heartworm status is critical. Many rescue organizations are hesitant to pull dogs from shelters if they don’t know whether the dog is heartworm positive. While heartworm disease is **completely treatable and is not contagious from dog to dog**, treatment can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Without a test, rescues are forced to take on an unknown financial commitment, making it much harder for these dogs to find a safe place to go. A simple heartworm test can make all the difference. It gives rescues the information they need to make informed decisions, helps dogs leave the shelter sooner, and ultimately saves lives. Every dollar raised will go directly toward purchasing heartworm tests for the dogs at Polk County Animal Control. Your generosity will help remove one more barrier standing between these dogs and a loving home. Thank you for giving these deserving dogs a better chance at a brighter future. Scan the QR codes in the post to donate to the cause or buy tests and send them directly to the shelter! THANK YOU! 🩷

HELP‼️ PLEASE ACTUALLY READ THIS‼️ Bennie is sick. And he’ll be really sick by the end of the day. He needs medical care now. Or he will die. We already lost his sister to parvo virus yesterday. Sorry, but this is reality. Unfortunately county shelters don’t have funding for things like this, so we rely on pledges from you. Parvo virus just plain sucks. It’s horrible. It puts these poor puppies through hell and is fatal a lot of the time. Especially without early medical intervention. We have a vet to take them to, but we have no funding and no rescue. So we can’t take them there. They need to go today to have a fighting chance at survival! Please PLEDGE whatever amount you can. When we secure rescue, you’ll donate directly to them. PLEDGES help us secure rescue by knowing how much will be coming in donation wise to see if they can afford to take these 6 puppies in. Their bill will be thousands. RESCUES! We know. It’s a big ask. But they deserve a chance don’t they? We’ll raise all the funds we can! Can 2 of you team up? We need help and we need it today if they’re going to have a chance 🥺 PLEASE SHARE! Make these puppies famous so that we can get enough pledges to save them! #parvo #donate #rescue

🚨🚨HELP🚨🚨 Okay ya’ll. Real talk. I know there are several euth lists out there right now, but Polk County is in trouble! There are 17 dogs scheduled to be euthanized at 7:30 in the morning‼️ We’re not getting any responses. No rescues. No adopters. No fosters. Not enough pledges. These dogs did nothing wrong to land on this list. They were simply failed by humans. And they’re about to be failed by them again. How can you help? ADOPT! Go to 1215 Veal St. Cedartown, GA before 4:30pm today and scoop up a new best friend! There are so many great choices! You do not have to live in Polk County! Can’t get there in time? Message @savethispup or @hwilson0930 ASAP! We can help you!! FOSTER! Try before you buy so to speak! It costs you nothing but some time and love and you will save a life! Please reach out to @savethispup or @hwilson0930 if you are interested in fostering any of these dogs! PLEDGE! Pledges help make rescue happen! Just comment with the amount you would like to donate for that dog. Rescue costs money and most are facing very low bank accounts right now and can’t afford to take a dog without pledges! RESCUE! There are 4 RESCUE ONLY DOGS on this list! They are from a cruelty case, but are doing well! Sweet and have good leash manners. Any other dogs on the list can be rescued as well! FOSTERS AND PLEDGES ARE NEEDED IN ORDER FOR RESCUE TO HAPPEN! SHARE! SHARE! SHARE! EVERYWHERE! Steal my content! Please! Post these dogs anywhere and everywhere. You can save a life with the click of a button! Please help us. Today is feeling like a very tall order. We have 17 sweet souls to save by the end of the day. You can make a difference! Please reach out with questions! #adoptdontshop #savethispup #euthlisted
