As the tree curtains close on Maynardville this year, I’m reminded of how grateful I am for the village it took to bring this magical show together, and how lucky I am to have been a part of it all.
Thank you to this unbelievable cast for giving life to the most audacious, slinky, raunchy, outrageous, beautiful characters the theatre gods could ask for us to play and dance around with. You made this process so joyous.
To Steven the puppeteer director, who brought us all together and made sweet sweet music of this text.
To the backstage crew for hoisting the sails of this ship.
And to Orsino for teaching me to own my inner diva.
Love love love love love you all!

Final week of this magical play…

Twelfth Night has been the most treasured experience, from those hot rehearsal days, to rained out performances, to post-show dinners on Saturday nights… this cast and and team have been a dream to play, silly about and create with, a truly rare combination of dear souls.

How blessed am I! Love to you all. Let’s finish strong!

"Actress" is back! We've wanted to come to the Western Cape since we first staged the show, and we're so happy to be bringing our award-winning pocket musical (Best New Play Or Musical - Broadway World Awards; Best Lead Actress in a Musical - Naledi Awards for @taliakodesh) to @thedramafactory in Somerset West from 8 - 12 April.

Capetonians, book your tickets now. Then tell your friends to book their tickets just after that.

LAMTA Out & About 🎭✨

A beautiful outing to Maynardville, fab foodtrucks, splendid setting, and a terrific production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Such a great evening!
Fantastic performances by seasoned South African performers and beautifully directed by Steven Stead, ‘twas an evening of splendor, laughter, and inspiration. Bonus to see LAMTA friends @emilychild5 , @natasha.sutherland , Graham Hopkins @aidanscott96 and @jenny.stead all on stage together!.

Absolutely enchanting! 12th Night at @maynardville opened on Sunday night to rapturous applause and whoops of joy. This is a beautifully imagined, tightly paced and ingeniously characterized production that I could watch over and over. I literally didn’t want Feste (@david_viviers ) piano’s closing moment to cease.
What better than to experience the very best of South African talent open air framed by magnificent trees under the stars ✨
Please diarise it’s only on until 7th March
Magic ✨✨✨✨✨
