Last year my wife was hospitalized
with a blood clot in her lungs.

She nearly died.

We rescheduled clients.
Sent emails. Sent texts. Adjusted hours.

I worked while my son was at school
so I could take him to the hospital after.

One client?
Upset she had to move her appointment.
Annoyed I was “there” but unavailable.

She said she was worried about her child arrangements.

Cool.

My wife nearly died.

Hair is important.
But perspective is everything.

We are business owners.
We are parents.
We are spouses.
We are human.

“I have 11:00 and 3:00 available.”
“So nothing at 9?”
No.
Because 9 isn’t available.
Yes, we’re in customer service.
Yes, we try to accommodate.
 But your convenience
doesn’t override the schedule.
Respect the time slots.
Respect the business.

If I can fit you in, I will.
If not? That’s the availability.

Boundaries aren’t bad service.
They’re professional standards.
