Come and join me for a bed time story during SLUMBER this Thursday over at @heartandbonesyoga I will be weaving in some gentle visualisation to guide you to rest in a cabin that’s just for you. I will make a few suggestions that might be helpful to nourish your mind body in order to settle in your nest ready for sleep. These include face massage and acupressure on the body. All super gentle. I have thoroughly enjoyed recording bedtime stories recently I find myself relaxing so deeply when I’m doing this and it brings much peace that I can help others to relax. Members of @heartandbonesyoga can come for free but you can join for a month trial using my code HBAti for $1 that’s $1 to have a chance and look through all of the wonderful resources. I have said this many times but this platform has changed the way I treat my mind body. It’s intelligent movement that is not only sustainable but really does look after all the beautiful parts. You’ll also get a chance to enjoy other recordings by some beautiful teachers that I now am proud to call my friends. Any questions about this please do send a dm. See you on Thursday and may you find time to rest* Much love Ati x * I am fortunate that I grew up in a community that encourages collective rest and wouldn’t it be just wonderful if we could do that for our community?

What if you told your younger self that joy or happiness is your interpretation of it and not what others say it is? I felt much joy and gratitude receiving this email from Jane following yesterday’s live community session over @heartandbonesyoga I spoke about finding joy in cups of tea, stroking moss, being in your beautiful body… and this notion of being told that joy only comes if we follow a 5 step plan or by doing ‘great things’ is a myth! Joy is also hugely subjective (as is happiness). “ I just wanted to reach out again to say thank you… I felt so happy throughout the evening – very present, fully engaged with everything going on (even the slightly silly TV I was watching), and l had the feeling of having found something very precious – joy! I woke up this morning with that lovely feeling you have that something good has happened. And of course it had – to feel joy regardless of whatever else is happening around me is special indeed! So thank you again – for yesterday’s session and indeed for everything you do” Thanks for being here x * You can try @heartandbonesyoga for $1 for 1 month using my code HBAti - you can catch up on the live and access beautiful offerings from other teachers 💚

I am finding it quite difficult to describe how beautiful Saturday was being together with Brea @heartandbonesyoga Leo @centredspace and Lou @bodybitsbrighton Someone described it as the best day retreat they’ve been to and someone else said it was alchemy. I really believe it was. For me, there was no beginning or end just a beautiful unfiltered symbiosis. I have been thinking about the following since then. What does it mean to participate in rest? How do we reclaim rest as a critical aspect of liberation? Privilege is required to access rest which is a fundamental aspect of any healing process and like the roots of a tree rest is essential to nourish the system with vital nutrients. It is a privilege to drop into our heart spaces yet for many people who aren’t lucky enough to have this it is a case of survival. If you aren’t familiar with @heartandbonesyoga I urge you to take a look. The platform that Brea has created has really shifted the way I treat my mindbody with Inclusivity at its heart (and bones) it’s the only way to be. thank you for being here, Ati ♥️ I’m running a live session over at @heartandbonesyoga on Sunday 25th February 6pm UK it’s free to members - you can join for a free 7 day trial. No strings attached but I promise you’ll love it. special thanks to @balsa.energy for the gift of the delicious energy balls and @theveganexperienceuk for a nourishing lunch!

Watching my mum make mani (chapatis) and the most deliciously nourishing omelette with fenugreek, coriander, chilli and the perfect amount of spice. Listening to a voice note left by a friend. Recording and frequently visiting the laughter and voices of my loved ones. This is my way of staying connected. I have collected quite a few voices on my phone and listen to their voices frequently. Watching mum make nourishing food makes me feel so deeply relaxed. She doesn’t use fancy implements (in fact she gets so annoyed when I’ve bought replacements for her 🤷🏽‍♀️)I have lots of videos that I often watch to help me feel grounded. There are moments, times, days when you feel so heavy with the weight of the world deep in your heart, and this is the time to really stay connected to your loved ones. They just know what to do. It is in the midst of these moments where love knows what to do. I will be sharing the story of my self care journey on Saturday 18th November @mindfestuk_ honoured to be a part of a wonderful group of speakers. I’ll also be with my dear friends @madebycoopers who are sponsoring the event (I’ll be offering mini treatments as well so If you fancy coming tickets are available at @mindfestuk_ Sending love and heart felt compassion, Ati Side note - I love listening to the sounds of mum cooking 💚

Genuine friendship is priceless. These special humans celebrate you for simply existing. I am finding nourishment in connection, self care and firming my boundaries even more during a time of extreme uncertainty. Feeling heart full today after spending precious time with my loved ones. If it wasn’t for @heartandbonesyoga I would never have met @mictheotter @taddy.ferg @jenp360 Gosh this was much needed 🤎 Thank you @maulirituals for the the art of sleep’ set. It’s more than that- it is a delicious ritual of connection with the heady sensual relaxing blend of jasmine & vetiver amongst other beautiful ingredients. We were in heaven and I would use it anytime 🤎 Hold your self close - and if you can’t, then find someone that will do that for you until you find yourself again. Much love to you, Ati x

My dad taught me to check the oil + water of my car (inside more important than out). My mum used to wash the sponge that washed our dishes. My grandma taught me how to use oil in my hair to nourish my scalp. My aunt taught me how to make the best pear cake which made my heart sing. My husband always has a bath ready for me. My friend leaves fresh raspberries and shortbread on my doorstep - she just knows. My sister tells me the truth when I need it the most. My friends send me voicenotes of reassurance and love. My nana and I peeled pomegranates slowly to soothe my voice. These are a few of my favourite things. When we are stuck or lost and feel a little bit broken it’s really important to keep a catalogue of memories that we can conjure up which can contribute to our healing process. This also reminds us of the importance of self care. If you don’t have these memories, you can imagine the memories because our neural pathways will believe that - our imagination is incredibly powerful. I was thinking about all of these things as I made my breakfast bowl. It’s really good to be slow when we can. I recommend it, even if it’s for one minute to be slow and find luxury in the pause. Have a good weekend my lovely friends. Much love Ati Breakfast bowl: over night oats with pumpkin + flax seeds + coconut aminos + coconut kefir + collagen. Topped with flax seeds + hemp hearts + raw cacao + coconut + homemade cashew butter + blueberries + bananas
