It’s wedding weekend around here!!! Today is the big day!!! I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve done so many weddings but and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wedding work crew like this! 🤯 @brittyn_heaton10 & @_carterfield_ know how to bring the best together, and let me tell you, magic is Happening!!!

Dear Volleyball,

Today, 130 years ago, you made your debut.

What I didn’t know when I first picked you up was that you would become so much more than a game.

Because of you, I found my love for coaching.
Because of you, I discovered that the greatest journey isn’t about winning—it’s about becoming. You introduced me to personal growth and a mindset that reaches far beyond the court.

Because of you, I dove into the world of sports psychology and even went back to school to earn my certification.

Because of you, I learned what it really means to compete—not against others, but against the person I was yesterday.

Because of you, I found my people.

Because of you, I’ve rubbed shoulders with incredible coaches and mentors who challenged me, inspired me, and made me better.

Because of you, I’ve spent thousands of hours reading, studying, and learning—not just how to coach a team, but how to build a culture.

Because of you, I’ve experienced betrayal.
Because of you, I’ve also learned the value of an incredible therapist and the strength that comes from healing.

Because of you, I’ve spent countless hours with remarkable athletes who have changed my life as much as I hope I’ve changed theirs.

Because of you, family vacations have revolved around tournament schedules, weekends have disappeared into gyms, and countless miles have been traveled in pursuit of a dream.

Because of you, I’ve learned grit.

I’ve learned resilience.

I’ve learned the power of mindset.

I’ve made mistakes.
I’ve failed.
I’ve gotten back up.
I’ve learned to fail forward, to fail better.
Because of you, I’ve re-experienced the thrill of a state championship.

I’ve witnessed unfairness.

I’ve celebrated victories that never showed up on a scoreboard.

I’ve felt deep heartbreak.
And I’ve experienced incredible love.

Volleyball, thank you for every lesson, every challenge, every teammate, every coach, every athlete, every parent, every tear, every celebration, and every opportunity to become a little better than I was the day before.

You have shaped my life in ways I never could have imagined.

Happy 130th Birthday, Volleyball. Can’t wait to find out what you’ll teach me next. 🏐❤️
