✨ Meet Jen Wang Studios — Our Newest Art Superstar ✨
Another new fave just joined our lineup: Jen Wang Studios. We’re completely smitten with her NYC‑inspired prints—Brooklyn, Queens, Grand Central, brownstones, bodegas, and yes… even the iconic orange seats of the 1/2/3 train. If you’re building a NYC‑ready nursery, this is the moment. Here they are on the wall of our boutique repoing the city we love! (Note we’ve got one Piccoliny ode to NYC mixed in - the iconic hotdog pretzel NY).
Jen Wang is a full‑time artist and printmaker based in Brooklyn, and her work is a love letter to both her Chinese‑American heritage and the city she calls home. Her bold color palettes and simple organic shapes spark joy, calm, and that instant “I know this place” feeling.
She works mainly in gouache, and is currently painting a watercolor series inspired by vintage Japanese kimono patterns—soft, nostalgic, and totally stunning.

Today we officially opened the first ICONIC Newsstand, the first in our new newsstand concept.

After Mulberry, Lafayette, and Bowery, we’re excited to bring magazines, newspapers, souvenirs, and everyday essentials to Manhattan’s West Side.

To everyone who stopped by today, thank you for making us feel so welcome. We’ve loved meeting our new neighbors already and can’t wait to get to know more of you.

Every neighborhood deserves a great newsstand. We’re excited for Hudson Yards to be the first home of our new ICONIC Newsstand concept, and we hope it’s just the beginning.

You already know if there’s a market happening... I’m probably there. 🤭

Whether it’s a farmers market, a holiday market, or a local pop-up, I love discovering small businesses and finding one-of-a-kind pieces. This weekend, I checked out Markets for Makers in Brooklyn, and it did not disappoint.

I spent way too long browsing all the vendor booths, picked up a few new prints for my gallery wall from @jenwangstudios , got a 2 tops and a pair of leggings from @shopbasik_ , and couldn’t pass up the adorable $1 vintage-style art vending machine with @smar.art ... somehow I left with two super cute cat prints. 🐈🥰

There was everything from local artwork and handmade jewelry to tea, soap, clothing, and so much more. If you love supporting small businesses make sure to check out some of the local markets across the 5 boroughs!

Today I am doing a collab post with my BK flea vendor friend Jen! She has the cutest prints.

Jen Wang is a Brooklyn-based painter and printmaker. Her work is colorful, eye-catching and celebrates the joy in the everyday. She draws inspiration from the iconic city she resides in, girl dinners💅🏻, and themes from her Chinese-American background.
