How do you say goodbye to a place that has felt like home for so many summers?

As I finish my final year as a camper at Camp Galilee, my heart is so full. Since middle school, this place has been where God has grown my faith, surrounded me with incredible people, and given me memories I’ll carry for the rest of my life. From late-night cabin talks to endless laughs, tears, prayers, and friendships that became family, every summer has been such a gift.

One of the greatest blessings of this year was getting to share my testimony. Standing in the place that has poured into me for years and sharing the story of what God has done in my life is something I’ll never forget. I’ll always be grateful for that opportunity.

And I have to admit… I’ve never been one to stay for the dance party. But this year I stayed until the very end, with a little encouragement, and I think I’ve officially become a dance party girl.

Leaving as a camper is bittersweet, but I couldn’t be more thankful for the people, the memories, and the way God has used Camp Galilee to shape my life. More than anything, I just want to thank God for every conversation, every friendship, every lesson, and every moment that pointed me back to Him. My camper days may be over, but I have a feeling this isn’t the end. I can’t wait to come back as a counselor someday.

Thank You, Lord, for this chapter. It will always hold a special place in my heart. 🤍

Beyond blessed to have such a challenging year! TYJ for the perseverance and the amazing support system this week, and overall keeping me safe! I love each and every person at camp and I’m so blessed to have such a great group of people at my side! Although we came in second, I have to say my team was amazing and extremely kind and grateful all week! Thank you for allowing me to step into the leadership role on our team, and for being the bestest people to be around all week!!
