2026 spring D1 league champions🏆🎉

Game recap: GB United V. LKS FC

Sunday morning had finally arrived, the matchup the gaffers had been dreading for a few weeks.

Interviews with the management gave signs of unease as they were asked “what do you believe the scoreline to read today after full time?” Main man Andrew Fierro would reply “BELIEVE”

The game would finally begin and LKS would jump the gun early and high press to see what GB was all about. Unfortunately a mishap in the back and the boys would concede a goal within the first 5 minutes.

Battle would rage on and the lads would go into halftime down 1 but spirits were HIGH. After pressing forward and scraping chances together a ball would be thrown in and find the opposing teams hand off an mis cleared ball…. PK! The breakthrough we were waiting for! Rohit would step up and bury it!!!

But the game was far from over…. For roughly 35 minutes the boys would battle and fend off chance after chance, defender albeezy would clear a ball off the line to keep the scoreline even. And with the final whistle…. PENALTY KICKS.

Rohit with cods of steel would step up and have his chance denied. Both teams would convert chances, and with the final kicker for LKS… make it and win. Miss it and we continue….

HE SHANKS IT WIDE! Gasps from around the field as the goalbusters would get another chance.!!!!

BIG STUBERT TIME !!!! The jolly green giant steps in and holds true to his word…. “I GOT YOU AT LEAST ONE” AND WITH THAT….

THE LAST PK TAKER STEPS UP… HATERS CALL HIM GOGGLES, some call him FOUR EYES…. BUT THE BOYS KNOW HIM AS MR COLD BLOODED AS HE PUTS AWAY THE CHANCE TO SEND THE GOALBUSTERS UNITED TEAM HOME WITH THE TROPHY.! 🏆

Giving the club the double for the league.!!!!

Successful season for the lads!!! Thank you to everyone of you for everything. The heart the dedication. This is the best Sunday team to be on not just for soccer. But for the family that I’ve made with each of you ❤️ let’s run it back and get more in the future
