✨ TIMELINE CLEANSER ✨

Coming back as a dad to Disneyland became at times less magic and more hard work. But I found that here or in real life we have to choose to take things a little lighter and allow ourselves to be like children, living in the moment.

When in our journeys do we lose that ability?

So happy to have caught Sebastian in this little moment of wonder and magic. ❤️

Going Home 🏠🌈

The thought of going home with a baby to call our own and show Sebastian as his little brother or sister has been in our hearts for years. Here is Santiago going home wearing an outfit I bought for @_jericastro_ in 2018 when we decided to try again.

Amongst the peaks and troughs of “trying” Jerica got pregnant again, in 2019. 5 months later her waters broke too early and after a month of fighting for the life of our child, we had to say good bye to our beloved daughter River. We shared from then on in the grief of many others who go to a hospital pregnant only to leave empty handed.

The following months/ years were the darkest we’ve ever experienced.

And then came Santiago. A ray of sun after a storm. Maintaining mental stability in the constant memories of what had happened was challenging but here we are.

The thing about suns and storms, is that they coexist. One doesn’t have to end for the other to be. Sun, storm, happiness, sadness, one doesn’t make the other go away. But understanding that they can both exist and that we can experience both of them simultaneously has been, for me, the key to feeling complete.

In this journey we are thankful for the friends who became family. Who carried us through when we didn’t think we could continue.
Thankful to God who never said things would be easy, in fact said the very opposite. But promises a Love we can rely on.
