The summer I embodied live, laugh, love, and became further invested in film photography (am I good? No! Am I still having fun? Yes!)

A little late to the party but that tracks as a notorious summer hater. However, this was one summer that I actually really enjoyed! I made soooo many friends, I laughed until I cried, and I did so many things that a year ago I couldn’t have dreamed of including but not limited to: bringing one of my precious shows to life with my friends/the most wonderful team, and being a part of the National Playwrights Retreat at Caravan Farm Theatre where I met some of the coolest, sweetest, and funniest people that I’m so lucky to now know, thanks again for everything @vstroich ! Here are some of the highlights captured on film:

1. Me and Malone at one of their parties (RIP eyebrow piercing, 2014-2025, end of an era!!! You are sorely missed)
2. Link and Malone featuring other Link!
3. Malone and their mourning drums
4. Cast and crew bonding during Expiry Date, over what you ask? Wouldn’t you like to know!
5. Marn and Rhi after they saw Sorry, Baby (it was my second time, favourite movie of the year!!! Watch it!!!)
6. Caravan Farm Theatre!!!
7. The horses that roam the farm, yeehaw
8. Got to go to my childhood lake and swim in it for the first time in years!!!
9. Happy hour 😌
10. Davey writing while Big Mack dines behind them
11. Kamila and Davey getting visited by Pud
12. Pre or post yet another chaotic werewolf game
13. Bocce, extreme edition
14. Calculating who won bocce, extreme edition
15. A nice little walk to a haunted house
16. The haunted house in question/the poster for a horror movie
17. Group photo on the last day
18. The same but this time featuring me
19. Napoleon
20. Mom at Davisons (the Okanagan kids will understand and go crazy for this)

Meet the costume designer of Expiry Date!

Jerry Lesperance graduated from the University of Victoria in June 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in General Humanities, focusing on Professional Communications and Theatre. She gained production credits with the Phoenix Theatre as an assistant stage manager in Love and Information (2021) and as a dresser in The Children’s Hour (2020). Expiry Date is Jerry’s first design credit, and she is excited to share her creative vision with audiences. Jerry would like to thank Mo for asking her to be on the project, her partner Cristobal and their cat Pepper for offering endless support.

Tickets are on sale at the link in our bio!
