Modha Rathiri (2026) is a Tamil comedy-drama directed by debutant Raja Karuppasamy, starring Rishikanth and Anishma Anilkumar. The story unfolds over a single wedding night, when Marudhu and Muthuselvi-both pushed into a marriage they aren't ready for--find themselves caught in a chaotic situation after Muthuselvi decides to run away with her lover. What follows is a night filled with family drama, comedy, misunderstandings, love, and unexpected emotional moments.

Genre: Comedy / Romance / Family Drama Director: Raja Karuppasamy

Cast: Rishikanth, Anishma Anilkumar, Chetan, Bagavathi

Perumal, Abdool Lee, Sangeetha Balan Music: Bharath Sankar

Review Summary:

Positives: The writing, situational comedy, and performances-particularly Rishikanth and Anishma- are the film's biggest strengths. The wedding setting creates plenty of relatable chaos, while the film also touches on family pressure, patriarchy, caste differences, and women's freedom without he coming overly preachy.

Negatives: The story is fairly predictable, and some portions could have been trimmed. The first half takes time to settle, while the screenplay occasionally prioritizes comedy over logic.

Verdict: A fun one-night wedding comedy with genuine emotions underneath. It's not a complicated film, but the writing, humour, and lead performances make it an enjoyable watch.

I lost her, and felt her presence for every single minute with me, holding my hands❤️‍🩹

The relationship between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man film series is widely considered one of the most compelling and tragically beautiful romances in superhero cinema. Portrayed by Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, their electric, genuine chemistry anchored the high-stakes superhero narrative in deeply human emotion, making Gwen's eventual loss an unforgettable, defining moment for Peter Parker.

Gwen's death completely shattered Peter, leaving him buried under immense grief and the crushing weight of survivor's guilt. For months, he abandons the Spider-Man mantle, spending his days visiting her grave through changing seasons. He only returns to heroism after listening to Gwen’s own inspiring graduation speech, realizing that giving up would betray the hope she stood for

Years later, the lingering shadow of this loss was beautifully explored in Spider-Man: No Way Home. When Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man pulls through a portal into the MCU, he admits that losing Gwen made him "rageful" and "bitter". The emotional climax of his arc occurs when he successfully catches MJ (Zendaya) as she falls from a scaffolding. Saving her allows him to finally find a shred of redemption and closure for the night he couldn't save his first love

Dude (2025) follows childhood friends and first cousins Agan (Pradeep Ranganathan) and Kuralarasi (Mamitha Baiju), who run a quirky event-planning startup called "Surprise Dude." Their breezy, playful partnership is thrown into absolute chaos when Kural confesses her romantic feelings for Agan. Startled, Agan rudely rejects her. By the time he undergoes an accident and realizes he genuinely loves her, it’s too late—Kural has moved to Bangalore and fallen for a dim-witted classmate named Paari (Hridhu Haroon).
The plot takes a dangerous turn when Kural's powerful, casteist minister father, Athiyamaan (R. Sarathkumar), fiercely opposes her inter-caste relationship, threatening violent honor killings. To protect Kural and Paari from her father's iron grip, Agan steps in, sacrificing his own feelings to fake a wedding with Kural as a front to help the lovers escape. Directed by Keerthiswaran and featuring a viral, thumping soundtrack by Sai Abhyankkar, Dude is a fast-paced, trope-flipping romantic drama that masterfully blends Gen-Z humor with high-stakes family tension.

Yes, this love has no limits!🤍🫠

One of the most emotional moments teased for Avengers: Doomsday is the glimpse of Steve Rogers finally getting the life he always dreamed of with Peggy Carter. The teaser appears to revisit the peaceful future Steve chose at the end of Endgame, showing him away from the battlefield and living a quiet life instead of carrying the burden of Captain America. The footage strongly hints at the happy ending fans always hoped he would receive after decades of sacrifice and loss. The dance between Steve and Peggy carries even more weight because it brings their story full circle. For years, their relationship was defined by missed opportunities, war, and time itself keeping them apart. Steve spent most of his life fighting for others, always putting duty before his own happiness. Seeing him finally share a peaceful dance with Peggy is a reminder that, after everything he endured, he was able to reclaim the life that was taken from

him. What makes the moment so powerful is its

simplicity. There are no explosions, no villains, and no superhero action-just two people enjoying the life they were never able to have together. In a franchise filled with world-ending threats and epic battles, this quiet dance stands out as one of the most heartfelt scenes, symbolizing Steve's long journey from a lonely soldier to a man who finally found his home. Spanning from the 1960s to the 1990s, Retro follows the chaotic life of Paarivel "Paari" Kannan (Suriya), an orphan raised by a Thoothukudi gangster. Plagued by deep abandonment issues and a violent streak, Paari vows to leave his criminal lifestyle behind after falling for Rukmini (Pooja Hegde), a gentle veterinarian. However, destiny has other plans. Following a massive arms deal betrayal, a brutal prison stint, and an escape to the Andaman Islands, Paari assumes a fake identity as a therapist named Chaplin Laali to locate his lost love. There, he uncovers a deep-rooted prophecy declaring him the long-awaited savior, "Jada Muni," chosen to free enslaved islanders from a ruthless gladiator cult and tyrannical oppressors. Backed by Santhosh Narayanan’s eccentric, genre-blending score, it is a wild, postmodern cinematic roller coaster about trying to run from a violent past only to stumble into a destined war.
