for the alt rock fans in the ORS community this one is for y’all 💛🎸

the texas alt rock band culture wars just released their debut album “don’t speak” and it already has given them somewhat of a c*lt-like following, initially breaking into mainstream alt-rock with their 2025 track “typical ways”

lead singer alex dugan gives one of the more emotional and mystifying performances that you’ll hear on this track. dugan has said that this song is “an angry letter to my former self.” this track is a real tone setter for the rest of the album as the band dives further into echoing and hazy tracks about accountability and the up and downs of personal growth

“don’t speak” is the title track for the album and really serves as an anthem more than an intro. the winding phrases and echoing chorus gives this track the perfect material to be performed live

the band is on their first headline world tour and this track will always get the crowd going. the music video for this track is visually intriguing as well. for a second i thought it was the same set that tyler the creator used for “stop playing with me”

finally one of my favorite tracks from this project is “bittersweet.” the message that this track has is something that i and so many others really need to hear. here the band gives a great almost nostalgic performance to match the theme of the sudden realization that is adulthood

dugan’s verses give me really strong sting vibes from his use of mic belt and falsetto. the band has a way of approaching serious topics in a heartfelt yet cathartic type of way

“culture wars” debut album “don’t speak” is one of them he most emotionally cathartic listens in alt rock this year. what do y’all think? are you tapped in to the alt rock scene? will you try to see culture wars live? lmk below <3

Siempre bonito poder documentar estos momentos tan mágicos. La vida está llena de cosas que pasan muy rápido y poder ver y escuchar todo lo que pasa en un studio. Lo admiro mucho. 🫶🏼

So much more than just an album ❤️

A few weeks ago I got a mail from Lonner (the singer of the band Spray Allen) where I first got some really nice words about my passion for vinyl and my page (thank you!) and further if I wanted to check out their newest album called "Behave".

Well, it turned out it wasn't just a normal release - it's a whole new listening experience. But let's get more into detail.
The vinyl is housed in a hardcover book that is covered in an embossed outer sleeve. Including artwork posters with lyrics for every song and on top a handwritten note from the band. But the absolute highlight is the 24 page comic book that accompanies the 9 track album. Keyword album - the album itself is an energetic, guitar-driven record with a good mix of melodic hooks and some punk attitude. The songs are pressed on audiophile 180 gr black vinyl.

This is what record collecting should be like in 2026 and what is making it so special to own physical copies. Please more of this.
I'm super happy to add this piece of art to my collection.
Thank you so much for reaching out to me guys and maybe see you one day on tour here in Italy 😉 @spray_allen

You can order your copy now from their webstore - www.sprayallen.com

My third EP, ‘Wherever You Go, There You Are’ is out now 🌠🌠😭😭
•
This EP means so much to me, and im so proud of it. It’s a documentation of presence, and learning to be where your feet are, which feels increasingly harder and harder in the modern age. My head is always down and in the clouds planning ahead and working towards making things happen, and im so robbed of now, which is actually all there is! It’s a funny concept that i think so many of us experience, and i hope you feel seen and reminded to breathe while listening to this project.
I feel so lucky to have created and collaborated with everyone involved, and I can’t thank them enough for their time and energy invested into this project.

Without further ado, please welcome
‘Wherever You Go, There You Are’ :)

This has been a long time coming to share this music.

Over a few years I’ve been finishing these songs. I took my time. They were based on the feeling of the original, improvised, blue print vocal melody/ phrasing from my 2020 demos.

Everyone who played on any song of this album put a touch of their heart and pulse that brings it to life.

I am eternally grateful and excited to share this music with you all.
