December 11, 2025 I received the email that I won the Chicago non-guarantee lottery. I freaked out. I called my best friend crying because I just didn’t believe in myself to run 26.2 miles. I had no choice but to lock in and focus on doing the milage.

@chimarathon, you gave me 26.2 miles I will never forget. This journey tested me physically and mentally in ways I can’t even explain, but it also reminded me of what I’m capable of when I refuse to give up on myself. No matter how long it took me, I was crossing that finish line.

To everyone who checked on me, encouraged me, listened to me talk about training, cheered me on, sent me messages, and believed in me even on the days I struggled to believe in myself THANK YOU. You may not have run these miles with me, but you helped carry me through them. I will never forget the love and support I felt along the way.

To my best friend, I know this wasn’t easy. I forced you into this and I’m forever thankful you did what you could to run this race with me. I’m incredibly proud of what we accomplished yesterday!

26.2 miles… a world major marathoner ⭐️ @chimarathon

I was SO scared going into yesterday, second guessing if I had trained enough, wondering if I would even finish, knowing I’d be out there for hours. Training wasn’t easy for me and I was in my head the last few months

The back of the pack isn’t the easiest place to be… no finishing photographers, running on the sidewalk because the sweeper car passed, cleaning crews and trucks on the road, so many other things so this race had no choice but to be mental.

But because of everyone that reached out this whole time and supported and cheered me on you are all why I finished . Physically yes it was me, but mentally I had words and things that had been said to me and prayers pushing me through.

I got to experience this with my best friend and im forever grateful to have someone in my corner always to push me 🤍 we did that dude thank you for being my finishing photographer 😭

Jerry and Yahaira thank you for pushing me all those last miles I truly couldn’t have done it without you 🫶🏽

I did it y’all 😭 all the Glory to God 🙏🏽
