SPECIAL GUEST: Katarina Lengyel, Miss New Jersey USA 2026

A native of Middletown, NJ, Katarina Lengyel is Miss New Jersey USA 2026 and represented New Jersey at Miss USA 2026 in Miami. Katarina is a graduate of University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in dance.

She created the Inspire Dance Team, a program for individuals who love to dance but may find it difficult to keep up in a traditional class, to bridge the gap she saw in arts programming for people with disabilities.

We met her on the NJHOF red carpet and asked what inspires her in her personal or professional life. Here’s what she said…

🫶🏻 Thank you @jerseyshoredanceacademy for welcoming me into your space and trusting me with your dancers. I loved every second with you all and already can’t wait to come back and visit!

I hope this piece brings so much magic to the stage this season and becomes something you all truly love performing. ✨

So grateful for the opportunity to create with you. Go make it yours. ❤️

A week back home in Jersey, setting some pieces on the next generation of the programs I once called home. Leaving with my cup overflowing. So much love for these places and these dancers 🥹💗 @jerseyshoredanceacademy @rbcperformingarts @rbc.dance.team

So unbelievably proud that this kid gets to join the legends on the Anchor Award. Still have not found the right words to sum this moment up, but we will be calling him Joyful Jack from now on. 💙 ⚓️ 💙

How will I say goodbye to this team? JSDA has given me a second home and a group of best friends I wouldn’t trade for the world. I am so grateful to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard @jerseyshoredanceacademy 💙💛

And that’s a wrap on this year’s competition season for Penelope. What a great weekend in Lancaster with her JSDA dance family! 💙⚓️ Fun was had, memories were made, and we danced!! Loved every minute of it and had so much fun watching our favorite tiny dancer do her thing with her besties! Question… does anyone else come home from a competition weekend and then watch the dances on their tv with family that wasn’t able to make it? And then maybe re-watch them even after they leave the room? Asking for a friend…. 😉 #cantgetenough
