“Jerusalem, City of Light”
Music and Lyrics by George and Editorial JGGM

Verse 1
Golden sunrise on the ancient stone,
Footsteps echo where the prophets and our saviour roamed.
Every heartbeat makes the story rise,
Jerusalem, is calling us.

Pre-Chorus 1
From the sea and river wind to the temple wall,
Hope keeps whispering through it all —
Can you feel it? Can you feel it now?
Chorus
Oh, Jerusalem — City of Light,
Where the morning turns darkness to light!
You’re the song in the open air,
A promise carried everywhere —
Oh, Jerusalem — City of God, City of love
You’re the heartbeat of humanity !

Verse 2
Voices gather in the evening glow,
Candles flicker where the old rivers flow.
Every prayer becomes a spark, a flame,
Calling every nation out by name.

Pre-Chorus 2
From the river to the sea,
Israel stands strong, united and forever free —
Can you hear it? Can you hear it now?

Chorus
Bridge
Through every trial, through every tear,
Your ancient truth is still held dear.
Thousands of years, and still you stand —
A guiding flame across the land!
(Still you stand, still you stand…)

Final Chorus
Oh, Jerusalem — City of Light,
Where the morning turns darkness to light!
From the river to the sea,
Israel stands strong, united and forever free —
Oh, Jerusalem — City of God, City of love
You’re the heartbeat of humanity!

Outro
City of God… City of Light…
Jerusalem, shining bright.

A moment of gathering, faith and connection.

Acrylic on canvas.

For me, painting a crowd is also a way of painting the individual — every face, every gesture, every presence becoming part of a larger story.

Sometimes a portrait begins with a face,
and ends somewhere much deeper.

From image to painting.

A glimpse into the process of creating my portrait of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

For me, painting a face is never simply about reproducing an image. It is about searching for presence — the character, the gaze, the light, and everything that exists beneath the surface.

Layer by layer, the photograph slowly disappears and the painting begins to speak in its own language.

Acrylic on canvas.

There is something deeply moving about painting the sound of the shofar — a call that reaches beyond words, connecting us to generations past and inspiring us to look toward the future with faith and hope.

This piece captures the strength of the ancient stones of the Kotel, the beauty of tradition, and the quiet moments of connection we carry in our hearts. May the shofar’s voice awaken our souls and remind us of the promise of renewal, unity, and brighter days ahead. ✨
