For the first public reading of my O’Neill finalist play HUT, HUT, HIKE — Sept. 18-19 at @fbplayhouse in the Catskills — I was granted an acting dream team of @hayward_leach, #davidtpatterson, @tessaweinland, @anthonycostelloo, plus director @jerwebb28 and stage manager @cam_sparks. Let’s tell a story about college expectations and disillusionment and integrity and paths and choices and trauma and transactions and intimacy, sex and love. All the college feels. Oh, and football, too. My new play about a jock being tutored by a theater nerd is in good hands. Time to make some discoveries in the room. Thank you in advance, cast, crew and creative team, plus @intheworksinthewoods producing team @magicmattlenz, @robinlevine, @franktrapp, @anthonycdaniel, @vikkitea1776. Headed to Forestburgh, NY this weekend to be in the company of others who are honing various works within Forestburgh Theatre’s annual festival that grows fresh entertainment on a campus surrounded by nature, two hours from NYC. 1776 at @gcsymphony This was something I did not even see coming 5 weeks ago. I got to meet and work with so many brilliant artists on what I think might be one of the most brilliant musicals. I love every single one of these talented people. Miss them already!
