I absolutely love when… Our book club gets together outside of our regular meeting days! These girls are so much fun! @jess_voracious_reader hosted so we could all was The Love Hypothesis together and it was the best time! So many giggles and we really enjoyed the movie as well! She also surprised me with the cutest mug that she saw and picked up for me! It was so sweet of her and I can’t wait to use it! Thanks girlies for always being a good time…and for watching me get scorched, for I think the 7th time at that point, while trying to get my dragon! 🤣 I can’t wait for our Halloween meet up! We will be dressing up as characters from some of our favorite books! 💭Any suggestions on what everyone should dress up as? Are you dressing up this year? #thelovehypothesis #bookclub #lovelyafterthoughts #goodtimeswithgoodpeople #booksbooksbooks

Book club and bookstores?! What could be better?! Celebrating @ryleighs_library ‘s birthday at the same time! We decided to hit up a couple bookstores together and had so much fun! We came home with some great finds! Our last pick was Arcana Academy by @elise.kova and it was well loved by the group! I’m so glad that we all finally got to read it! Our new pick is The Scattered Bones by @nicolescarano_author ! I hadn’t heard of it before today, but it sounds SO good!! I love getting to find and try new-to-me authors, so this should be great! Here’s a little hint into the book: “The Scattered Bones is a Dark Fantasy Romance with reverse Orpheus and Eurydice meets the Lord of the Rings/female-driven video game style quest vibes. It’s filled with epic quests, slow burn forbidden romance, fantasy gods, dangerous landscapes and beasts, found family, heartbreak, triumph, and a love that gives the heroine the strength to survive.” Um, okay! Sign me up! 💭What is a new-to-you book that you’re excited to read? #bookclub #nicolescarano #lovelyafterthoughts #newtomeauthor #darkfantasyromance

It only took a year! This month for book club was so fun! We read Kissed by the Gods by @catyrogan and I’m SO happy that the girls finally read this book because it’s AMAZING!! They all agreed, which made it even better! We got sent a book club kit with some goodies, which we all loved receiving (bookmarks, stickers, and a bookplate for the win)! We also switched up our book choosing routine by spinning a bottle and after a YEAR Arcana Academy by @elise.kova finally got picked and I’m just a tad bit excited about it in case you couldn’t tell by the video at the end!🤭 sorry, but no, I’m not!🤣 I’ve been waiting to read this book with our book club and I’m happy I finally get to start it! 💭 Have you read either of these books? #lovelyafterthoughts #bookclub #catyrogan #kissedbythegods #romantasy

July Book Club with the girlies 🫶🏻 This month we read Kissed by the Gods by @catyrogan who sent everyone in our book club signed bookplates, book marks and the cutest stickers of Vaeloria and Einarr! This was a 5 star read for me and had me hooked from the first chapter! August's BOTM is Arcana Academy by @elise.kova which I'm definitely looking forward to reading! #bookclub #bookgirlies #kissedbythegods #bookstagram #bookbesties

Our June Book Club pick was AMAZING!! And I already knew that since I’d read it before and nominated it!🤭 As a bonus we were sent some goodies from @leenakazakbooks ! They haven’t arrived yet, which means we get to spread out the Between Tides & Thunder love into July, which we love and we are excited about whatever they sent…so expect some pics here soon! Since I’d already recently read this book, I decided to read Between Sky & Sea to just keep the love of this story, characters, and author going…and it’s fantastic!! We added some new people to our book club and two of them joined for the first time! Our plans didn’t go the way we thought though! Originally we were going to have a picnic but then Oregon decided it hated that idea and made it rain for the past few days. We decided to have an indoor picnic at my house and then hop in the hot tub…but the hot tub was no longer hot because it decided to stop working, so we just had our indoor picnic and chatted about books for a couple hours and it was perfect! Summers are always hard so we were missing quite a few of our girls, who we missed, but fun was had! 💭How’s the weather where you live?

So I meant to make this video (part two of my 2025 recap)…last year, but life hit hard as soon as I got to the airport at home in September and hit a pole with my car…the pole is fine! Time got away from me and I never made this video. I figured since we are a month away from @villainsandvixens 2026…better late than never, right?!😅 I had the best time and can’t wait to go back!! If you’re in the fence about going to a book convention, consider this your gentle nudge to just do the thing! There’s also tickets available for next month if you’re able to go! Authors and vendors in this video: @melissa_k_roehrich @briarboleynauthor @authoremiliajae @vblacey.books @kalistaneith @authormirandalyn @rachelfallonauthor @phasesandpages @morganbridges_author @sunni_rae_art @authorkaradouglas @bynicoleplatania @authorpenncole @authorljandrews @ancaudleauthor @allieshantewrites 💭What’s your biggest draw to a book convention?

Counting down the days until I get to go back!! I seriously had the best time last year at @villainsandvixens in Texas! I got to go with some of my favorite people and meet some of my favorite authors! And now I’m on some of their street teams, which is just so awesome! If you’ve never been to a book convention before, you should definitely check this one out! It’s so organized, the people are so kind, and it feels safe, but most of all it’s SO much fun!! 💭What book convention have you been to/want to go to?!

May Book Club with the girlies 🫶🏻 Always such a fun time seeing these ladies, talking books and catching up on life. This month we met at B&N and they happened to be having a BOGO half off sale on hardcovers so I had to get The Ballad of Falling Dragons @sarah.a.parker.author and Natalie (@lovely_afterthoughts) convinced me to get Us Dark Few by @alexispattonauthor which I've heard really great things about!! May BOTM was Starside by @alexaster #bookgirlies #bookclub #bookbesties #barnesandnoble #bookstagram

Who had book club at the bookstore and left with zero books?! 🙌🏻This girl!😭 On the plus side, we had a blast and had a new book club member so that was exciting! I love getting to chat books with these ladies even when we don’t agree! I think that’s the beauty of sharing book with each other! Everyone has different tastes and thoughts on books, but we can still come together because of a passion that we share! Our book club pick for next month is Between Tides and Thunder by @leenakazakbooks and I’m SO beyond excited for the girls to read this one! I’m also extra excited because I just recently got accepted into her street team! 💭What are your plans for tomorrow and do you get the day off?
