“Flops” is a short film about two guys on a first date that starts off on the wrong foot. Oh, and it’s a satirical take on “The Raven” by that Edgar Allan Poe dude. Starring two actors named Jesse and PA’d by Chirag Matta. Shout out to Short Cuts! Premieres Sunday September 27th at BRIC in Brooklyn! 🩶 Will be on my YouTube page soon.

A weekend for the books :)

On Saturday, 9 of us gathered with Teva and Aik—two brilliant teachers—for our first Alexander Technique workshop! Such a wonderful session, leaving us a little lighter and a little more aware. Hopefully more AT soon!

And on Sunday (not pictured), 10 of us gathered for a fruitful lab—in person and virtually—to read one returning, expanded project and two new works!

my heart is very full after the past couple weeks of theatre-making 💜

@adhominemplay went up for limefest at @thetanknyc and i couldn’t be more proud of this group for scraping this cuckoo bananas crazy play out of my brain and putting it onstage irl

THEN the @mayitheater intro playwriting class (led by the legend herself @captain_lisa_dring) introduced me to a group of incredible aapi artists that managed to steal my heart in the span of 2 months. we had the pieces that we developed over the course of our 8-week class staged for a sold-out crowd, and it was such a joy to see everyone’s work performed

i’ll be taking a social media hiatus for a while (ad hominem marketing was frying my brain) so if you need me, i’m available over text/email :)

Elyse McClellan is a fake New Yorker, originally from Atlanta, but has called the city home for the past few years. As a graduate from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she spent most of her time training at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting; followed by a stint at Stonestreet Studios as well. Off stage, she’s a children’s camp director at Play On! Studios, an aspiring romance author, a Formula One fanatic, and a MASSIVE book nerd! (If you need a rec, she’s your girl.)

Catch Elyse and more in AD HOMINEM on August 11 at 7pm with LimeFest at The Tank! 🎟️🔗 in bio!

HENCH • Member of the Oxford Union • Men’s Blues cricket team • Existential Meditation Society • Social Sciences Division (Oxford University) Law 💜📿

Jesse Dylan Baxter has been to a BTS concert and thoroughly enjoyed Jungkook’s performance. He is a graduate of The New School’s College of Performing Arts where he, notably, was unable to attend WUDC. He would like to thank his partner Lexi for her unending support.
