Day 1 #polofest

Hard to put in words how immersive of an experience Ralph Lauren has created here in Tokyo. A complete world to emerge in all things vintage Polo. There is a museum, speaker series, gift shop with great exclusive merch, and a shopping experience of the wildest collection of vintage polo ever put together.

I have been going through some bins, the last couple of days, in preparation for #polofest and came across some incredible DEADSTOCK vintage Polo Ralph Lauren and Polo Country items. These are all unworn new with tags in pristine condition. Hope you like them as much as I do. See you in Japan!!

A few vintage 1993 Polo Ralph Lauren RLYC jackets. All of the jackets have firemen clasp closures as well as zippers. The implementation of the firemen clasp, sometimes referred to as lobster clasps, can be seen as far back as the early 1980’s on Ralph Lauren Polo outerwear such as vest, short and long coats etc. RLYC stands for “Ralph Lauren Yacht Club” and was in amazing collection that was released in 1993 and included outerwear, t shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, button up shirts, rugby shirts, accessories and much more for both women and men. Some highly coveted and extremely collectible early 90’s Ralph Lauren graphic men’s t-shirts. The two on the left are Ralph Lauren Polo and the two on the right are Polo Country (two different brands under the same uber the Ralph Lauren umbrella that were active during that time period). The second slide is an extremely rare, and also, highly collectible P Tennis cotton Handkerchief or scarf. Smaller than the typical silk scarves of the era, this cotton version depicts the same tennis themed montage illustration seen on the elusive and extremely rare and expense men’s cotton short sleeve button up shirt widely known as the “P Tennis” shirt. The items are NOT FOR SALE currently, but feel free to dm me an offer if any of these are on your bucket list in the event that I do decide to sell these at some point (please, respectfully, send offers only. I grew up going to @fasinfrank to get fly but nobody told me the owner makes fire beats too smh 😤🔥 salute to @jesseheifetz 🫡 we got something VERY special in the oven!

If you don’t know this man literally has one of the biggest Lo collections in the world 🌎 so when he invited me to the warehouse/studio… and I saw boxes on top of boxes on top of boxes of some the rarest Lo pieces known to man… and he said “let’s make some history”… of course I said “SAY LESS ITS A WRAP” 🤫⏳🔥 already six tracks in…. STAY TUNED.

Some killer new additions to the archive. First up, a custom Polo Country chain stitch Indian head shirt I commissioned from my good friend Eric at @junkyardjeans_official It couldn’t have turned out better. Every singe stitch was done by hand on vintage machines and the colours are immaculate. Then we have a 1984 SAMPLE anorak that was never released. Killer design with the waist cinch and hood gusset. After that we have a 90’s Polo Sport Kumajan or “grizzly” jacket. I had never seen this one until @theoldfolkstore posted one some months back. Glad to have one now. And lastly, we have a big print made in USA blue label polo print shirt. 🫡🫡🫡
