I swear, I really am working lol.

But on a serious note, I feel like I’m finally free.

I have everything I need to live a comfortable life.

And the only thing that can hold me back from pushing even further, is myself.

One thing I’ve learned, is to let go of everything that could be holding you back from reaching your goals.

The journey i've been on to get where I am now has been long and difficult.

Becoming a developer was never my dream. It was just something I thought I'd try out. I never would have thought i'd be programming at @entrepreneur and even have a YouTube channel filming myself talking about it lol.

But within this journey, one of the most difficult things I've had to do is being able to know myself clearly.

More importantly, being able to understand how even I myself can be my own worst enemy.

I think it is just way too easy to go off track and without realizing it you can be miles away from where you originally wanted to be. But what's crazy is how HARD it can be, to get back ON track after you realize you've fallen OFF it.

I have been very fortunate to have people in my life that have never heistated to point out what I need to improve on.

As much as I hate it, I need it. Change is never easy. But it's definitely easier to improve when you have people in your life that have your back by never being afraid to tell you the cold hard truth (when you need to hear it). #devsLife

Today it took me 5 hours to solve one problem. Not to mention my allergies were absolutely killing me today.
•
But the reason for this post is because throughout those 5 hours I honestly doubted myself a lot.
•
First of all I was disappointed in myself for not being able to solve it right away.
•
Secondly, I kept second guessing myself on my ability to even code at this point.
•
After a few more hours, another developer came and tried to help me out. He wasn’t sure what was wrong right away. Then our front end senior developer came and he too was first confused but together as a team we were finally able to figure out what the small problem was.
•
I’m not at liberty to say, but one thing for sure is that the problem wasn’t me. It wasn’t that I’m incapable of coding. It wasn’t that I did not have “enough” experience. It was because I’m simply still learning. •
Yes, I too honestly get hard on myself often. You can ask my girlfriend. Although I may often seem to have a bright personality, I still have very high expectations of myself.
•
One thing I learned from today is that no one from work is after me. We all have each other’s back and have the same goal in mind. Which is to build things, improve, and get the job done as a team.
•
I love my team and co workers here. @entrepreneur is honestly such a great company to work for and I look forward to the many challenges that will for sure come. #devsLife
