About a year ago, I started planning this trip with a vision in mind: my favorite people together, island hopping through Greece. Nearly 40 of us embarked on this adventure to celebrate my 40th. I knew it would be special given the breathtaking backdrop, the quality of friends, and months of planning—but it surpassed anything I could have imagined.

The views, the food, the boat and ATV excursions, the beach days, and the late nights out were all incredible. But when people ask my favorite part, the answer is easy: my people. Watching friends come alive simply because they had the rare opportunity to all be together in such a special corner of the world. Seeing friendships I’d introduced years ago pick up right where they left off. Watching new connections form just as effortlessly. There was so much love flowing through this group that it was impossible not to feel it.

Witnessing community in this way was profoundly life-affirming. By the end of the trip, I was overcome with a depth of gratitude I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced before. I am immeasurably rich in love and friendship, and as I reach this milestone, I can’t think of a greater measure of a life well lived than that.
