‘A TESTIMONY FOR A BLACK MESSIAH’ - a collaborative tribute to D’Angelo by myself and @jesse.dacosta

It’s been a melancholic, yet cathartic process reflecting on the passing of one of my favourite artists, but it’s a been a joy getting to creatively collaborate with my sister again, despite the oceans between us.

Writing this piece over the last two weeks has been difficult, not from a lack of inspiration, but an abundance. That said, it’s probably one of my favourite things I’ve written in a while. You can read the full piece on Substack as part of my blog, ‘I Digress’.

It brings me great joy to announce that I’ll be taking over SOUL CTRL on @triple_j for the next two weeks!
