No ‘hike-a-bike’, no glory 😅🥳

Sometimes you just have to work a little harder for the fun part😇

Col de Mille was one of our favourite rides in Verbier🇨🇭🤩 Together with @mtbverbier, we started with a shuttle and climbed the final 600 vertical meters. It’s a steep climb with a few short hike-a-bike sections… but honestly, we didn’t care😄 The views….AMAZING🤩

Then came the reward…🥹

☕ Coffee & cake at the mountainhut 2,470 m
🚵 Nearly 14 km of flowing singletrack
⬇️ Around 1800 meters of descending
🩵 A ‘bib’dip 😇
🏔️ Unreal views of the surrounding 4000-meter peaks

If you’d rather earn every meter yourself, you can skip the shuttle and climb around 1000 vertical meters extra😜💪

🇨🇭I traded my lycra for baggies… because apparently that was the dress code @mtbverbier 😜🇨🇭

Jess joked before we arrived that baggies were the way to go. Challenge accepted. Axel? He didn’t need convincing😛😂

Five days later… and over 500 photos on my camera roll😅 Honestly, I can barely choose🫣 Every time I scroll through them, I almost get emotional. Not because of the photos themselves, but because of how lucky we are to experience places like this🥹

For five days, we didn’t have to think about routes, logistics or where to eat😊 Breakfast was waiting every morning, lunch packed for the trail, and every evening ended with an incredible three-course dinner of @cremefreshprivatechefs 🥰⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We could simply ride, explore and be completely present.

We did wonder beforehand if using lifts and shuttles would take away the challenge😅 (We love earning our descents😇) But the program was perfectly tailored to us. The lifts didn’t make it easier—they simply opened the door to even bigger adventures❤️ There was still plenty of climbing, plenty of suffering… and even better descents.

What surprised us most wasn’t just the riding. It was how quickly this place felt like home.

Some trips are fun. Others stay with you.
This one definitely will. ❤️

📍 Verbier, Switzerland… when can we come back?
