Portrait of Jessica for a story in @businessweek about Gen Z and Gen Alpha being impacted by another layer of body image issues in a landscape of social media and GLP-1s like Ozempic. Part of the reporting series by @alexandra.levine and @g0ingmad. Thank you for being so open and transparent about your journey Jessica. Lots for me to think about also as a parent of a young girl and the ways we talk about and picture ourselves.

⭐️March Recap⭐️

Not gonna lie, March was a very up and down month for me. Not just with the hot and cold weather but also my hot and cold emotions. Some days were like a fever dream, I would think back on them and wonder “is this really my life?” which is an amazing feeling. Some days though, the baseline stressors would get a head of me, feelings of insecurity and grief occasionally popping up. But, we’re out of winter and it’s all up hill from here. March was filled with many accomplishments, such as:

🌟Hitting 25 followers on Spotify
🌟Hitting 300 followers on instagram (what?!)
🌟Officially broadcasting my Podcast onto my YouTube channel and every episode from here on out!
🌟Having my FIRST guest on the podcast (coming out this Friday, mark your calendars!)

This is all professional-related stuff. I also am happy to say I’ve been investing in my hobbies, moving my body, and meeting new people each day making new connections and growing my community :)

🎬MOVIE REVIEWS🎬

In case you didn’t know, I am an avid movie watcher. It’s a full time hobby and I’m so happy because spring is when I let lose with my favourite five star films. This month I watched

Bones and All: omg was this a horror film or a love story? Either way, the acting was amazing, the cinema was amazing and the quote “it doesn’t matter if I’m right or wrong what matters is I feel it” Is one I’ll never forget. overall 3.5/5 stars

Mama Mia: I’ve seen the sequel but not the first one all way through lol. The music though is amazing characters are iconic overall 4/5

People we Meet on Vacation: Never read the book but wish I did lol. This movie is amazing! Perfect for summer, I’ve never seen such a newly released romcom and liked it this much, Poppy is iconic 5/5

Prozac Nation: Anything with Christina Ricci I love. She’s an amazing actress, and this (true) story really doubles down on Mental Health and Mental Illness. 3.5/5

So excited to see what April brings 🩵 #march #moviereviews #cinema #monthrecap #contentcreator
