It took 39 days to try and find a plan for Lola.

She was first abandoned at Downey shelter as a 3 month old puppy and by the time she was 1, she was abandoned there a total of 3 times.
 I couldn’t bear it.

With euth dates approaching dogs faster than ever before at Downey, each day that nothing came thru filled me with dread.

She can’t be returned three times and then be put down.

Then a few miracles started lining up and everything starting working out for her -  Lola’s foster said yes - she couldn’t bear to have anything to happen to her either. @sunraycreations @jessiebones
 The community here all chipped in for training @redemptiontails.llc so that she can decompress and focus on on skills since she is a 1 yr old working dog.
 And all this allowed one of the best rescues @stacyhoperescue to pull her immediately.   And now we are so blessed to even get these updates is just another miracle to me.

Lola is having the 👏 of 👏 her life 👏
She loves her morning hikes, meeting new people and makes friends with all dogs. She has a foster sister called Annie showing her the ropes too 🥹 More videos of that soon.

One would think that if she was returned three times that something is wrong with her, but she got to live and share that that is not the case

Lola’s life has dramatically turned around from continuously being left at Downey shelter (a record 3 times).

Her rescue @stacyhoperescue broke the cycle, took her to training @redemptiontails.llc thanks to community support & @wendy_toxinfreeish & now her foster fam @sunraycreations @jessiebones is teaching her the ropes for the good dog life 💖

Lola is 1 years old and is lucky enough to survive and get to have the chance to find her forever family.

She is a very smart girl, working on her trending foundation with everything she learned so far and is very playful and affectionate.

This is what your Lola dollars went towards and I want to thank every single person who contributed toward her rescue operation.

Lola was first left as a 2 month old puppy at Downey shelter was then adopted twice and then returned.

We were able to piece together her story because @giselleeeexox witnessed her being surrendered when she was at Downey Shelter

It’s a lot for a dog to go through in the first 12 months of their life.

@stacyhoperescue broke that cycle for her but it was with ✨ community support ✨that allowed her partake in a training program with @redemptiontails.llc that gave her the foundational skills to continue with success.

Lola is now with her unreal amazing foster in San Diego .

Friends, Family, Superheroes & a whole lot of guitars at @julianfamilyfiddlecamp. We enjoyed fantastic weather & gorgeous SoCal mountain scenery. Student participation was over-the-top. Congrats to all who participated in open mic, bluegrass karaoke, class presentations & evening jam sessions!

I had a wonderful time working with the guitar class & getting to perform & hang with some of my favorite musicians & people in my ancestral neck of the woods. Thank you, Roscoe, @californiabluegrass & all the volunteers & sponsors for keeping this tradition thriving.

It’s been two weeks since we heard the news about Bob Weir while checking sound at Baja Joe’s in La Ventana. The earth shook. The waves crashed on the typically calm Gulf of California. There were tears, words, silence & all kinds of emotions flowing through the place as the awareness spread like wildfire throughout the connected world.

It was appropriately cosmic that we were in such a magical place with some family & friends present to grieve & celebrate the legacy of one of our heroes, who’s songs we were still playing & mannerisms we imitated. The first set was a little subdued. The night before was so high-energy that perhaps many were still recovering. I offered an awkward toast. By the end of the set everyone was rocking.

Looking around the stage I was feeling a little left out so at setbreak I changed into my shorts, tank-top & sandals, & the second set flowed & seemed like it never ended. Kelly Marty painted “Bobby’s Wave” & I bought it from him.

We are so grateful for @bobweir & the movement that he helped create. We are still riding the wave, and we’ll keep the celebration going at our upcoming Pickin’ On The Dead shows, starting w the Aggie on Thurs, then rolling steady along the Road to WinterWonderGrass.

Haunted Runway show for @homeboldtapparel
What a fun experience getting to strut down the walkway with my girls @mmoonniiccee and @mjwilliamsss alongside so many amazing people in such great clothes! I haven't walked a runway since I was 17 and let me tell you I'm addicted! So if anyone needs a model you let me knooow!

Our new friend Fire Goddess Emma was spinning within a sacred ring of candles last night at our Night of Dead Festival at @theecologycenter and it was beyond magical and so beautiful!! 🙏🏼🔥❤️

THANK YOU to everyone that came out and continues to come back for each gathering we have! This is our time to reunite and celebrate the Grateful Dead, its culture and our community.

After two years of doing this together we feel like our trip is just getting started!
