Many founders think they’re ready to raise capital. Investors often see it differently.

The gap between those two perspectives can mean months, sometimes years, of wasted effort.

That’s why I’m excited to welcome Christine Nady Boushra from Included VC to our upcoming Founder Institute Caribbean AMA: Investors Pitching Founders.

Christine works with founders and venture capital ecosystems across multiple markets, evaluating startups and helping identify what makes a company truly investment-ready.

Her perspective is especially valuable for founders building outside traditional startup hubs.

This is your opportunity to ask directly:
✅ What are the biggest mistakes founders make before fundraising?
✅ What does investment readiness actually look like?
✅ How can founders stand out in a crowded market?
✅ What are investors looking for beyond the pitch deck?
✅ How can founders from emerging markets compete globally?

Too often, founders focus on raising capital before they’ve addressed the factors that make investors confident enough to invest. This conversation is about understanding what those factors are.

No pitches. No gatekeeping. Just honest answers from people making investment decisions every day.

Everyone wants to hear VCs talk about pitch decks, warm intros, and what makes a founder “investable.”

And yeah, that stuff matters

But here’s what nobody’s talking about — the one thing that actually solves all of those problems: Sustainability and momentum.

Not the buzzword kind. The real kind.

The kind where you’re not running on fumes by month 6. Where your business has velocity that speaks for itself. Where investors come to you because the traction is undeniable.

Today I’m sitting down with Jess Schram, VC and Partner at Remedy Studio, and we’re skipping the usual playbook.

We’re talking about:

→ Why momentum is the cheat code founders ignore

→ How to build a startup that doesn’t burn you out before it breaks through

→ What sustainability actually looks like from an investor’s perspective

→ Why the founders who last are the ones who get funded

The best pitch deck in the world can’t save a founder who’s already running on empty.

The best warm intro doesn’t matter if there’s nothing behind it.

Build something sustainable. Build momentum. Everything else follows.

Last Monday, we sat down with matrimonial attorney @elleesquirenyc in the coziest corner of Greenwich Village to talk about one of the most important and most avoided conversations in relationships. 💍

From what a prenup actually covers, to how to bring it up with your partner, to busting the biggest myths Elle answered it all!

Thank you to everyone who came, asked brave questions, and made the night so special. 🥂

Thank you to @oliviatcohen and @sophiejklepner @morganstanley in collaboration with @theprenuppodcast at @maisonwelles

We don’t live in a meritocracy.

We live in a relationship-based world.

In case you missed it, @jessinvestsvc, Partner at @remedyproduct breaks down a reality most founders run into:

It’s not just about building something great.
It’s about being in the right rooms, with the right people paying attention.

The founders who win understand both.

Full discussion is linked in our bio 🎧

If you can’t sell it, don’t build it.

In this episode of Inside the Fund, Jess Schram (Partner at @remedyproduct) shares what most investors never see:

→ The founder who was secretly embezzling money
→ Why “great product” is no longer enough
→ The biggest mistake founders make when fundraising
→ How valuation decisions can backfire later

Building is easier than ever.
Winning isn’t.

If you’re raising, building, or thinking about starting something, this one will change how you think.

“If you’re not good at selling, good luck.”

Building has never been easier.
Which means product alone isn’t enough anymore.

In this clip, Jess Schram, Partner at @remedyproduct breaks down why:
• an MVP should only validate demand
• “if you build it, they will come” is a myth
• sales and distribution are now the real edge

Full episode of Inside the Fund drops tomorrow on all channels. Link in bio!

Balancing IRL and virtual is the theme of 2026 ✨🚀❤️

Love being able to host this intimate luncheon with @kerri_ma from @jpmorgan today at their stunning new office for female founders and investors

Key takeaways

1. Women need to get more comfortable talking about money with their friends
2. In order to do that there needs to be more education and genuine resources for women who do not work in or have never worked in finance
3. The more intimate the group the more cross collaboration we can execute together

Thanks to @callmenaomig @jessinvestsvc @ggmirv @stephkhoo @kyliesmonagan @savona720 @itsmichellejacobs for showing up and being present in so impressed by you ALL

Be the Attractor. Speak with Abundance. ✨

Thinking back to this event — the energy in the room was magnetic.
So many incredible women ready to share their stories, use their voices, and own their impact.

When you speak from your truth, you don’t chase opportunities —
you attract them. Thank you again to @empowher_commerce @_jessinvests @juliepollakdesign for collaborating to create a powerful event

Last week’s workshop was all about owning the room.
@robinpollak.energeticnavigator led us through how to walk, talk, and pause with confidence - refining everything from tempo to tone. Because sometimes we find ourselves in rooms that feel intimidating, but the right tools can change everything.

✨ Confidence is a skill - and one we’re committed to mastering together.
