I met Jess on warped tour in 2007 and have hung out with her all the time since then. 14 years ago today we exchanged vows in front of our families and friends in loft space in lower manhattan in a small ceremony led by an over the top stereotypical older New York woman who was numerologist at an event catered by a super skinny all has no brakes cartoon character and it was perfect. Today will make 10 years that I have been able to spend with the happiest person I've ever met. I can't believe how fast it's gone but I feel so lucky to have such a deep well of memories to look back on where I watch our first baby grow up to become someone I love more than I could fathom and also that I love hanging out with. She has a kindness in her that inspires me to not be such a grumpy old guy all the time. Happiest of birthdays to you, Ryan. I'm the luckiest dad to have you

I don't feel bad about not remembering that it was our anniversary today until 7pm today because @jessioshea didn't remember either. Our 13th year married has been a long one filled with high highs and low lows but I wouldn't have wanted to spend it with anyone else, anywhere. All the good and bad and all the sick and the healthy.....You're stuck with me, Jerk. I love you to the moon and back. I'll gross out our kids smooching ya in front of em as long as you'll let me.

***She's out of surgery and doing great! Thank you for all the well wishes and love. You all are the friggin best.*** Back at the hospital again! In May, Jess got diagnosed with a BRCA genetic mutation which floored her and put us on a track to preemptively remove her ovaries, uterus, and breasts in an effort to reduce an incredibly high cancer risk. There were complications with the hysterectomy that damaged her kidney and put us off schedule for the bilateral mastectomy but we're here today so she can have that done. She still will have more surgery to finish dealing with kidney after she's recovered from today. She has a clean cancer screen now and is in good spirits despite a long recovery ahead. She's the best wife I could have hoped for and is tough as nails in the face of all this craziness. A couple days in the ICU and then we're bringing her home to heal while I hold down the fort and prepare for the US tours. Keep @jessioshea in your thoughts today, and if you are female and have any family history of these types of cancers, please consider the genetic screening. All of these procedures are a hell of a lot easier to stomach when you're not fighting off aggressive cancer at the same time. ❤️❤️❤️ #brca
