Having finished a garden design diploma last summer - it’s taken a minute to recover and gather my thoughts about what I felt was missing from my skill set.

Turns out it’s freehand sketching - communicating my design ideas from flat plans to 3D, using nothing but pencils.

You don’t need to be able to draw to do this course because you will learn the techniques and skills with patient guidance and encouragement from @yorkshireschoolofgardendesign

Giving it a go and practising is all that’s required. Absolutely delighted to have met so many fabulous designers not just from the UK but Ireland and the Netherlands too.

A fabulous 3 days spent walking in the grounds of @harewoodhouse, belly laughing and quietly drawing. What a joy!

Thank you Alistair 🙏🏼 the pens will be put to good use ✍🏼

This weekend a bunch of us from @pictorialmeadows are heading to volunteer at Dixter. I was last there in late August, and the magnificent @jesso000orr showed us around after the garden closed, at sunset (thank you Jess! 🙌). Spellbinding. So excited to return this weekend. A very special place for me. A queer place. Excited to introduce people to it who've never been.
