After 2,450 absolutely incredible miles from John o’ Groats to Poole via Land’s End, I can finally say I have completed a dream of mine by hiking the length of mainland Great Britain. Over the past 88 days I have explored the lengths of England, Scotland and Wales and seen the most breathtakingly beautlful places whilst creating memories that will stay with me forever. It has quite simply been the best thing I have ever done and I could not be happier or more proud of myself for what I have achieved. It will take some time for the true scale of my experience to sink in but it feels incredibly special to have spent the past 3 months travelling the length of my home country by foot with nothing but the bare essentials on my back and the support of my family and friends back home. A truly special thank you has to go to Claire who has supported me from the very moment I discussed the possibility of this hike. Her love and support has kept me going every step of the way and I can’t thank her enough for making this experience so enjoyable and successful. I am now appreciating the comforts of home and looking forward to future adventures.
