Bamboozled at a wedding and didn’t even get a picture with the bride.

The craziest thing happened. I looked at the date and realized I entirely MISSED my 17th Diaversary!

So, happy belated 17th Diaversary to me.

17 feels like a crazy number. So much has happened in the past 17 years and (unfortunately) diabetes has been there for all of it. I hate shots, the smell of insulin makes me gag, and I don’t even want to look at my own blood. But here we are. 17 years later.

I am so proud of myself, genuinely. In fact I had a doctor’s appointment last week where I found out my A1C is 7.7 - the lowest it’s been since I was diagnosed. But if I were alone in this, I couldn’t have done it. I am so grateful, today and everyday, for my community.

So, enjoy some throwback photos of me and my entourage at the annual Walk to Cure Diabetes growing up, and some pictures of me and the coolest, funniest, most beautiful & smart diabesties in the world ♥️ I miss you all and love following along with your lives. Truly the best and only getting better.
