DON’T JUDGE THE STORY BEFORE YOU SEE WHAT GOD DID WITH IT. 🙏🏾🐾

I was formerly incarcerated. I carried a past that could easily make someone hesitant to trust me with their dog, in their home or in their life. I understand that.

But prison is also where God met me and a dog program helped me understand something deeper about following Christ: trust is built through relationship, consistency, guidance and surrender.

God was patient and consistent with me until I learned to trust His direction. And through following Him, He transformed not only my heart ♥️ but my ability to lead.

That’s what I see in dogs every day. Sometimes the dog labeled reactive, aggressive or difficult simply needs someone willing to understand what’s underneath the behavior, establish trust and communicate clearly.

Maybe people aren’t so different.

My past tells you where I’ve been. My testimony tells you what God can do with a surrendered life.

So before you judge the man or the dog by the history, give transformation a chance to introduce itself.

God First. Relationship. Trust. Structure. Freedom. 🐾✝️ #GodFirstDogTraining #GodFirst #jesus #MyTestimony #GodsGrace JesusChangedMyLife

“True Worshipers Rise”

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” - John 4:23-24

I used to think worship was what happened when the lights dimmed and the band played the right song. I’d stand, sing, maybe lift a hand if no one was looking. It was worship in flesh—polite, controlled, half-hearted. My mouth moved, but my heart was elsewhere. Then Jesus met me in the mess and ruined me for anything less than full surrender.

Worship in spirit is when the Holy Spirit inside me leaps to meet the Spirit who is God. It’s not about the set list or the atmosphere—it’s about encounter. It’s tears that come out of nowhere, unshakable joy in the middle of a storm, a shout in the silence or silence in the shouting. My spirit is finally awake, responding to the Father not out of routine but relationship.

Worship in truth is refusing to wear a mask before God. It’s showing up with the raw me—flaws, fears, failures, and faith—and not pretending to be polished. It’s singing “I surrender all” and actually surrendering all. It’s the kind of worship that doesn’t care about sounding pretty; it cares about being honest. Truth invites intimacy, and in that space, the Father leans in.

When spirit and truth collide, something shifts. Heaven responds. Chains fall. The atmosphere breaks open because one heart chose to go all in. That’s why I don’t sit back anymore. That’s why I’ll shout, dance, cry, and kneel. Not for show—but because the Father is seeking worshipers like this. And I want to be one He finds.

Prayer:
Father, make me a true worshiper.
Wake up my spirit to respond to Yours.
Strip away every false note, every polished shell, and let my praise rise in truth.
Let my worship carry the sound of freedom—raw, holy, honest, and full of Your Spirit.
Here I am. Spirit and truth. All of me for all of You.
In the matchless name of Jesus, Amen.

“David’s Unashamed Dance”

“Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might.” - 2 Samuel 6:14 (NIV)

There’s something about King David’s boldness in worship that speaks deeply to me. He didn’t just lift his hands quietly—he danced with all his might. He threw off his royal garments, laid down his position, and praised like no one was watching, even though they were. That’s not just a moment in history—it’s a model of surrendered praise.

For me, worship has become a reflection of the battles I’ve come through. I remember standing still, half-engaged, unsure if full expression was “appropriate.” But over time, the more I healed, the more I saw how personal worship truly is. It’s not performance. It’s not hype. It’s a response to a holy God who brought me out of darkness into light, who didn’t just save me once—but keeps renewing me daily.

David’s dance wasn’t a show—it was rooted in joy that the Ark of the Covenant—the presence of God—was returning. That resonates with my own walk. When God’s presence comes near, I can’t just stand still. Whether it’s tears, lifted hands, a bowed head, or a physical response, I give Him everything. It’s not about the crowd; it’s about the covenant.

That kind of worship doesn’t need approval—it flows from relationship. David knew who his God was, and he wasn’t afraid to look “undignified” to honor Him. I’ve learned to feel the same. My life is a testimony, and my praise is my offering. I may not wear a crown like David, but I’ve laid down my own pride, and what I’ve picked up is joy unspeakable. The freedom to worship without shame? That’s the blessing I’ll never trade.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for showing me the power of honest, wholehearted worship. Let my praise be like David’s—free, fearless, and full of love for You. Strip away anything that keeps me reserved. I want to worship in spirit and in truth, because You alone are worthy.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Mercy Over Judgment”

“Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand… Be merciful to those who doubt.” - Jude 1:10, 22 (NIV)

I used to be quick to judge, ready to call out every wrong word, every false move. My flesh loved the fight.

Then Jude hit me like a brick: don’t slander what you don’t understand. Don’t swing at flesh and blood. Be merciful to those who doubt.

God doesn’t need my defense; He needs my mercy.

When someone comes at me with accusation or confusion, my first reaction is still flesh—anger flares, pride wants to crush them with truth. But the Spirit whispers, “Mercy. Show them the Father’s heart.”

So I bite my tongue, bless instead of curse, and speak only what builds.

I’m not here to win arguments or look holy.
I’m here to lead doubters gently back to Jesus, because someone once did it for me—when I was the loudest doubter in the room.

The fear of the Lord keeps me from tearing down; His mercy keeps me from swinging.

That restraint showed me His heart.

The joy of mercy that leads to repentance? That’s the blessing no debate can match.

Prayer:
Father, keep my mouth from slander and my heart full of mercy. Let every word I speak draw doubters to You, not push them away. Use me to reflect Your heart, never to wound.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Tested by the Spirit”

“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” - Romans 8:16

Testing truth with the Holy Spirit is one of the most life-changing habits I’ve built in this walk. Whether it’s a sermon, a text, a number that keeps appearing, or a thought that hits out of nowhere, I no longer react—I pause. I ask, “Holy Spirit, is this You? Is this true?” That question has saved me from deception, pride, and confusion more times than I can count.

Instead of trusting my first impression, I take it straight to the Word. John 16:13 says the Spirit guides us into all truth, and 2 Timothy 3:16 reminds us that all Scripture is God-breathed. If the Word doesn’t back it, I don’t build on it. But when it aligns—when peace floods in or a verse confirms it with fire—I know the Teacher has spoken.

Sometimes the answer is instant; other times I have to wait—hours or even days. But I don’t move without His peace. That’s not passivity; it’s spiritual discipline. I’ve learned to trust that gut-level yes or no—that inner witness. It’s not emotion. It’s Romans 8:16 in real time: the Spirit testifying with my spirit. That clarity has kept my feet steady and my heart aligned.

Whether I’m testing a prophetic word, a gut feeling, or a passing thought, the process remains the same: bring it to the Spirit, measure it by the Word, and move only when He says move. That discipline has shown me His heart. The joy of hearing Him clearly? That’s the blessing that keeps me grounded and free.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, You are my Teacher and the Spirit of Truth. Give me ears to hear, a heart to receive, and courage to obey only what You confirm. Test every word that comes my way, and let Your peace rule in my heart.
In Jesus’ name Amen.

“Found and Unashamed”

“For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” - 1 Peter 2:25 (NIV)

I was the stray sheep—wandering, lost, spiritually dead—until the Shepherd brought me back. Five years ago, I flatlined and came back, and from that moment, Jesus began rewriting my story. He redeemed my timeline, healed deep wounds, and made me fearfully and wonderfully new.

It wasn’t easy. Old habits clung. Shame whispered. People told me to tone down my worship—said I was “too much.” But when the Spirit of God filled me, I couldn’t stay seated. I had to praise. Now I worship with all my heart, all my might, in spirit and in truth—because that’s what the Father seeks (John 4:23–24).

Let them stare. Let the enemy flinch. I won’t back down. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me. And no one’s going to silence that truth. I’m here to show the Father’s heart—righteous, just, overflowing with love. That return to the Shepherd showed me who I really am. The joy of being found? That’s the blessing that makes every loud hallelujah worth it.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for finding me when I was lost and making me new. Help me worship in spirit and truth, stay obedient to Your heart, and find joy in Your redeeming love.
Amen.

“Grafted Back by Grace”

“And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.” - Romans 11:23 (NIV)

I thought I’d gone too far—sins stacked high, failures that felt final. It sucked, believing the lie that God’s door was closed to me forever. But then this verse hit different. That promise wrecked me. I wasn’t always a believer; I mocked Jesus, lived wild. But when He met me in my mess, I came running—broken, unworthy, desperate to be made new.

It wasn’t easy. Shame tried to whisper that I didn’t deserve another chance. Some days, I almost believed it. But I kept pressing in—staying obedient, showing up in prayer, reading His alive Word, worshipping through the doubt. Slowly, He grafted me back in. My faith grew roots. My identity shifted. His Spirit filled the cracks.

He started restoring my story—dropping memories, revelations, and divine clarity that set me free. The process hurt. There were tests. There were walls. But His grace multiplied every step. His Holy Spirit led with precision, not pressure. That grafting showed me His heart.

The joy of being His again? That’s the blessing no one is too far to taste.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for grafting us back by grace. Help me stay obedient in relationship with You, believe Your Word, and find joy in Your restoring love.
Amen.
