POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Seven films. Seven different worlds. One thing in common: the intention behind the art.

Proud to be part of City & State Shorts: Journey Within at the 2026 Chicago International Film Festival alongside filmmakers bringing such distinct voices, perspectives, and visions to the screen.

From punk gigs and ancestral history to Chicago winters and the emotional realities of filmmaking, every story reminds us that independent cinema makes room for experiences we don’t all share, but can still connect with.

The best part? Seeing what each filmmaker creates next.

Which kind of story stays with you long after the credits roll?

Grateful doesn't begin to cover it. 2 sold-out screenings at the one and only @chifilmfest was the honor of a lifetime, surrounded by the phenomenal artists shaping Chicago's film renaissance.

What a time, and what a place.

Thank you endlessly to everyone who's been a part of this journey - the programmers, the audience, the fest team - and thank you Chicago for showing out for CH0KE <3 :')

An experience of a lifetime.

Maybe it’s because I saw Robyn for the first time last night, maybe it’s because I’ve had the perfect amount of caffeine today — but I am Feeling A L I V E. And making Things (the tiny, the huge) is the true reason for the season imo, so I would love to share Butt/Stuff in a theatre with you, screening again on 9/18 at @cindependentfilmfestival (in the promised land—Ohio ♥️) and in my adopted home city of ChicagoHeartEyes.gif at @reelingfilmfest on 9/26 (4pm sold out, 1:30pm still has some!)

happy movie girl autumn 🍂 ☕️

It was awesome to be at the @cinemafemme_community preview event last night for their upcoming film fest in October (which you should go to at @musicboxchicago) and I always love meeting new amazing people doing incredible work in the film world.
Held at the unique @kinowerks, there was a panel (L>R) moderated by the wonderful @ebbcinemaflow with @jet.on.set, @lnhtrnn, @thejenniferreeder, @emlape, and @krista_on_social_media, plus a screening of a great short film called “Lesbian Ditch Day” Dir. by Olivia Cade and written by Marie Bland.

Sharing our full test footage with cinematography by Isaac Kau, acted by Kei, voiced by Asuka Lin and featuring an original score by Ray Freedman.
