Sophomore | 2028 Grad | State leader in both SLG & OPS.

But what people don’t always see is the work behind it.

For the last year, Barrett has shown up day after day with intent. Early work. Extra reps. Constant adjustments. No shortcuts. Just a relentless commitment to development and getting better every single day.

The result? One of the most productive hitters in the entire state of Nebraska, and he’s only scratching the surface.

At CHIPS Lincoln, we believe elite performance is built through consistency, accountability, and a process athletes buy into over time.

Proud of the work, proud of the growth, and even more excited for what’s ahead. 🚀

2 years. Countless bullpens. Early mornings. Intentional work every single week.

When Gavin first walked through our doors, the goal wasn’t just to throw harder, it was to build a complete pitcher. Someone who could command the baseball, compete under pressure, and lead from the front.

The velocity came through relentless consistency.
➡️ Finished winter training topping 89 MPH
➡️ Up to 91 MPH in-game this spring

But what stands out most is the development behind the numbers:
15 IP | 22 K | 3 BB | 0.93 ERA (#15 in the state)

That’s what happens when talent meets accountability, structure, and daily intent. Gavin has earned every bit of this season through discipline, coachability, and a relentless commitment to getting better.

The best players aren’t built overnight. They’re built through years of consistent work when nobody is watching.

Proud of the leader Gavin has become on and off the field. The work continues.
