THANK YOUS (Part 1)

Hello all!

Well it’s the end of the long weekend and therefore just enough time for that post-show blues to really nestle its way into our hearts for the next little while. I think it will take us some time to fully process the experience we just had, what it meant to us, and how much it absolutely blew our expectations out of the water, so hopefully some more coherent thoughts on that to come.

HOWEVER. We really must take this moment to thank some key people who made our short but very sweet season possible. Firstly, Amy Nagesh played both our disembodied voice and voicemail mum and i’m sure those who saw the show would agree she did it absolutely brilliantly. Got so many laughs. She’s a genius and we love her so much. Jethro Pidd was our choreographer and also provided us with certain very important props. We couldn’t have done the show without his incredible contribution. Charlotte Klose made David’s I ❤️ Disney costume as well as a Disney letter seals. Peter Johns had a major role in arranging our medley, as well as being a very early advisor in the beginning stages of writing. Similarly Sarah Kwong leant a lot of her wisdom, support and advice to us in the early stages of development for the show. Brett Trimboli loaned us the very important chairs for our couch which basically made our set. Ceri Hutton provided us with rehearsal space at the Parks, and so did St Peter’s Girls School for a number of weeks which was so generous and SO valuable, as we were really beginning to struggle in our loungerooms. To David’s family for their enormous role in the production, particularly Jane Salter who helped us get together many of the props and artwork for the show (the spoons, particularly) and who played the role of door knocker/letter slider. My family and Scott’s family took on a HUGE role in babysitting our girl through a lot of long, late nights so that we could both be at the shows, because I couldn’t have any other tech than Scott Lorien. He blows me away with what he can do. What’s more, Scott created our poster, trailer and took all our publicity shots. The man is ridiculous.
