THE MISRA LAMP

Born from the concept ‘The Threads That Bind Us’, the Misra Lamp takes its name from the Sanskrit word ‘Misra’, meaning blended or combined. A piece shaped by the contrast and interplay between strength and delicacy, structure and softness, industrial and handmade.

Steel threads, textile threads, and beaded threads are woven together, creating a contemporary lighting object that speaks to heritage and the beauty of combining seemingly opposite worlds. And staying true to our studio’s love for adorning, metallic beadwork in the crochet, to honour our Indian roots while blurring the lines between craft, fashion and collectible design.

Created for the @scape_magazine x @belgotex Installation at the Scape Design Emporium last year.

A bright little roundup of some 2025 things✨ A little late because for the first time in our lives we did not have a Dezember holiday, working like crazy 7 days a week to produce pieces for an exhibition in Abu Dhabi next week. But despite the lack of summer adventures, 2025 was another amazing, colourful and eventful year for our studio, and we are so grateful for it all!
