Forever dreaming of these stained glass windows🪵

This is Ritual Lodge, an off grid cabin just 2 hours south of Sydney and unlike any other tiny home we’ve experienced before.

No internet. No television. A pod coffee machine, because some things are non-negotiable.

The Ritual Lodge by Jonathan Friend of Jform sits beside Tapitallee Creek in regional New South Wales, fifteen kilometres north-west of Nowra, on a small clearing in the kind of mountainous outback landscape that feels discovered rather than arrived at. The weathered timber exterior reinforces that feeling: the lodge looks like it has stood here for decades, framed by freestanding tree logs and stained glass window accents that give it an unpretentious, unhurried character. Inside, mixed timber tones, subtle metallic accents, a tiled kitchenette splashback, and a functional bathroom complete a space designed for pared-back comfort rather than spectacle.

The lodge was not designed to be looked at. It was designed to look outward, toward the creek, the trees, and the stillness that most people travel a long way to find.

Spilt Milk.
Two tone marble pieces, each cut and mitred by hand to suit the shape of the stairs. The end result leaving a dripping effect.

EP05 of In-House. @jonofriend flew in with a flat-packed oak box to fix my cable mess, and in the process we spoke about carpentry, fashion labels, and tomato stands. #inhouseseries
